My girlfriend and I stayed in the "Starlight Cabin" and could not have been happier. The cabin was clean upon arrival. We used the hot tub very liberally and loved every second of it. It was very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. Both mornings I stepped outside with my coffee to watch a few deer roaming around the woods...

The cabin was a cute cabin for enough room for 2 people. Our first 20 min was spent sweeping and cleaning up lots of mouse dropping. Lots!!! We put our food out and with in 5 minutes they had these bugs all over it. We hung the rest of our remaining food up in the closet. We would clean up...

Wrong! Should something be amiss, your Host should always be notified! However, several of the surfaces in photos do not exist in our Cabins! We have had NO Guests in January, common after Holidays. Always set traps in Winter. Over the years, 1or2 mice. Cabins surrounded by deep Woods. There is a few box-elder bugs or those ladybugs...No bugs over...

Our cabin was bigger than I expected and I loved the rustic charm. Meeting Maggie and hearing her talk about the area was a highlight of the weekend. She was very charming and definitely steered us in the right direction. Would definitely recommend breakfast at Café Crumbles. It rained all day Saturday but we found plenty to do in the...

We had our belated honeymoon here. Our visit over the weekend was awesome. The owner Maggie is very kind and sweet to know. We enjoyed ourselves so much we can't wait until we plan our 2nd trip. Wonderful place to visit and love the views from the park.

The owner, Maggie, tried to be very accommodating and seemed to be very gracious. It seemed like a long walk to our cabin through the ice and snow from the parking area. Our television didn't work and we called Maggie. But, she never offered to come look at it and tried to fix the problem over the phone. This went...

The lady's husband asked for furthest Cabin...The TV was fine...They had punched many wrong buttons, called me when they couldn't get it back. Walked him thru getting signal with the remote...Husband told her to go look at dish...I never did. He phoned back, that she was doing that. Totally unnecessary. I use a walker. My husband wasn't home...Male Guest called...

I went with my boyfriend, and we had a great time. Very secluded, very comfy bed, and tons of channels on the TV. Everything is very clean. There was a deer family that came around two of the four days we were there. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. A great place to visit to get away...

We spent two nights at the Nest. It was in a good, central location for the day trip to Galena, IL. The nearby state park was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views of the Mississippi. The cabin was cozy and private, with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was nice, the only drawback was no stove. We would have like to...

We chose the Nest based on the availability of the following in the descriptions: Bikes available Walking distance to the state park Hot tub Outdoor space for AM coffee The bikes were dusty/spider webby but they were in a barn so that is expected, but if you knew you had guests wouldn't you clean them? No matter, the big problem...
