We have just had a wonderful long weekend with 3 families and 3 generations onCockatoo Island.
We rented both houses and a 2 bedroom apartment....22 of us.
All accommodations were well equipped, beds comfortable, and bathrooms a good size.
We had no troubles getting there...More

Discovered the island when visiting Sydney. Great fun, very educational, good cafe and amazing wine bar made from shipping containers! Sat there with the amazing view of harbour spread out in front of us!

We stayed overnight in the fire station studio, which is just above the visitors centre. The accommodation is very spacious with living and dining as well as a bedroom area. There is a nice bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The outside deck complete with bbq...More

Thanks for your comments Tottydownunder, it's great to see you enjoyed your time in the Firestation Apartment. It certainly is a great spot. We'll also pass them onto our tenant who manages to cafe to address.
The best night out. We walked through the tunnel went up through the old pinale colony. Web enjoyed the surroundings. The apartment was lovely.The ferries were regular. The sight looking overbthe harbour at night was fantastoc.
