Anne's warm welcome makes any traveller feel at home. I was travelling on business and had to make very early starts so was unable to sample a cooked breakfast. The en-suite room is pleasant and well equipped - no wardrobe (just pegs on the wall) but lots of excellent drawers, so, really, no shortage of storage. I found the mattress... More

a truly wonderful stay - all the home comforts and gracious hosts as well. I throughly recommend staying more than one day as Ruby the Black Lab greets you as friend not foe on your second and subsequent days. Nothing is too much trouble and I hope to return soon!

Thank you to Anne and Pat for a lovely stay. The location is great for anyone attending an event at Burghfield Sailing Club. We loved character of your home and the home cooked breakfast was just the thing. Sincere apologies to Pat for locking you out of your own house!

We wanted a B&B on route to the Vine - a large NT property 10 miles south. We were taken by the character of this place in trip advisor reviews and were able to get a room at relatively short notice. Ann was a wonderful host, giving us advice on the local area, allowing us to wander around her wonderful... More

We visited there for taking advantage of new years holidays with family, taking two rooms and stayed for 1 night. I made a reservation by email about two months before. It was a certain very splendid environmental guest house in an English farm village. The rooms were very cute and clean. English breakfast was luxurious, and the homemade bread and... More

We stayed for one night, for a visit to the nearby UK Wolf Sanctuary. Anne was the perfect hostess, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our ensuite room was charming, had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable, aiding a good nights sleep. We had time to explore and admire the beautiful garden, and were fortunate to have some... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay for a near-by wedding and we were so lucky to find Field Farm Cottage. From first contact by e-mail to a last wave good-bye, our whole stay was a delight. A quiet yet convenient position, a pretty bedroom with everything we needed, very clean yet comfortable, a great breakfast and a most friendly... More

We turned off the A4 and followed the pretty lane to the cottage. It was easy to find and to park shaded by trees. Our 2 night stay at Field Farm Cottage coincided with its garden opening to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme. The imaginative garden really was picture-book perfect in glorious July sunshine, with the... More

Anne took me in, rather graciously, at a real pinch late one evening, when she was babysitting her grandchildren but I was desperate for a place to stay. It turned out to be one of the friendliest bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed in; the grandchildren were be outrageously cute too. The gardens are beautiful, parts of lt laid... More

“We had an en-suite room overlooking the surrounding fields which was very quiet; we didn't see them as they were occupied but I'm sure the others are equally good.”
