Travelodge Grantham Colsterworth

Stayed for one night at this Travelodge. On arrival we pushed the find button for the receptionist. She gave us our keys and told us where our rooms were. No other information given, and nothing in room advising where to pick up the box of breakfast. Ended up traipsing back downstairs to ask. Serious lack of electrical sockets - need them next to the bed. Also other things you would expect to find (that you get at Premier Inn or Ibis) would be drinking glasses as well as mugs, plus a hairdryer. Would also be nice to have a breakfast room rather than sitting in the room eating cornflakes out of a cardboard tub with plastic spoon, and tepid milk. Rooms and beds were clean, however on the subjects of bed, it was like sleeping on a board, with bricks for pillows, not restful and had a backache this morning. Only used this TL as it was near the venue for our visit. Would not revisit.…

We're really sorry to learn the service on arrival were not up to standards and sorry to learn of your disappointment regarding this hotel not having a bar/cafe. Travelodge do have a number of our newer hotels that have plug sockets next to the bed, however some of our older locations may not have this due to the age of the hotel and the specific building requirements. Stop over in between festivals

Visited here Saturday night, the lady on the check-in was lovely. The bedroom had a funny smell and the bed wasn't that comfy. It's ok as a quick stopover. The Truck stop next door is a great breakfast though.

Clean, tidy hotel with friendly helpful staff. The staff member on the check in desk went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay by aiding in carrying our luggage to our room after hearing i had injured my leg prior to travelling.

Odd little Travelodge

A bit old and worn, and attached to a service station on the A1 with an odd layout. Friendly staff and clean rooms though, and actually quite pleasant all in all. There’s not a lot nearby except a service station shop, a truckers diner, and a Burger King.

Great stop over

Checking in at nearly midnight was greeted by friendly professional receptionist. Quickly able to get into room which was as expected clean basic and comfortable. Good price for what was an overnight break to a journey

Do the rooms have a bath and an overhead shower? , Do some rooms have a shower rather than bath? If there is an overhead shower in the bath is there a handle we can hold while we shower . We are 80+ and have some mobility problems in getting into a bath with an overhead shower if there is no handle on the wall to hold onto. We are booked in with you from 6th to 10th APRIL so could you put a handle by the wall at bath side please all hotels we have been to have obliged. THANKS JOHN AND PAT COKE

Hello Mr Coke We do have an accessible room at the hotel. It does have a bath, but the bath is very low and also has a shower, which can be moved to suit your height. Also there are grab rails fitted in the bath area and a sitting area at the end o the bath. If I book a room would it possible to have one that does not have light shining in as this really affects my sleep? This is my worst nightmare and the reason I ask is there are comments from guests who have mentioned the light shining in and that it can be a problem. Someone has suggested to have one that faces the A1 so could you tell me please if this is possible?

I stayed there last December and was facing the car park and A1 didn't have a problem with light coming in, there is dark curtains in the room which work effectively.
