A beautiful home away from home in suburban Launceston, on the banks of the Esk River, with lots of wildlife to watch feeding as the sun sets. The perfect place to recharge your batteries, with a charming host and a welcome pack with myriad suggestions for activities in the area. Would certainly revisit.

Thank you for the review, it is lovely to have feed back that guests enjoyed their stay and what in particular made their stay enjoyable. Basil the protected Southern Brown Bandicoot is keeping the present guests very happy, he is pretty predictable with his timing to visit at the moment. Looking forward to your return. Regards Jane

This is a wonderful 2 double bedroom apartment overlooking the river about 15 mins out of Launceston. It is quiet, comfortable and Jane, our host, had thought of absolutely everything including Christmas chocolates by the bed. The deck is fantastic and the wildlife can be viewed from it or later on in the dusk on the live webcams. Breakfast provisions...

Thank you Loretta for the review, there has been a few extras this season which you managed to be in time for e.g. new outdoor lounges, another couch in the lounge, the kitchenette has grown also with a full oven, hotplates and larger fridge. The washing machine and drier with powder supplied seems to be a winner for guests that...

Tranquil and very comfortable two bedroom apartment with a country feel yet only a 15 minute drive to the centre of Launceston- this is the perfect retreat. Great Opportunity to soak up the magnificent tranquil view and observe a wonderful array of bird life and Australian natives in the surrounding garden and also wild goats on the other side of...

It was lovely having and getting to know you Alex, I enjoyed the chats about the birds and visiting night animals. I'm glad that the weather was kind to you on a few days so that you could make use of the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sun set. It would be lovely to see you...

This is a wonderful B and B near Launceston. Jane is lovely and welcoming and the wildlife screening to the TV is unique and fascinating. The drive to town is short yet staying out of town is relaxing and quiet.

Hello Ruth, It was lovely meeting you and your family and I'm so pleased that you enjoyed all the backyard antics of the wildlife through the live screening via your TV. As I write this the parrots and many other small birds are busy and they look like they are building nests which will be lovely to see their young...

Treat yourself to this cosy b&b. Spacious, well appointed and situated on the riverfront. An abundance of wildlife come in for a feed in the evening and we spotted wild deer feeding in the river bank in the mornings. Close to supermarket, casino and only a hop step and jump from the centre of Launceston. Our friendly hosts exceeded all...

Thank you Peter and Mandy for the review, it was lovely having you stay and I'm thrilled that you loved the BNB and got to see some wild deer. The retreat area is busy with wildlife and I'm just waiting for the baby possum to appear on mums back which should be any day now. I'll look forward to welcoming...

We stayed at this very comfortable setting for 2 nights in April. I had confused the date of the stay and our hostess changed the date, with no penalty, for which I was very grateful. We were attracted by the glimpses of wildlife, including through the night camera, and by the compassion towards nature of the hostess. Note that there...

Thank you for your review Colin, I'm pleased that you enjoyed the retreat and the wildlife. We have several joeys and a baby possum on mums back at present and we must have heaps of bandicoots in the front yard as my grass is looking a bit like swiss cheese from all the holes they are digging! But I do...

Wonderful setting and beautifully furnished rooms. Being able to watch the wildlife at night on closed circuit television is a great innovation. Plenty of food left to cook breakfast. Would stay here again if ever returning to Launceston.
