Relaxing weekend in Columbus, IN. The B&B was excellent. Very charming and comfortable. The Inn Keepers are very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed touring the Miller House, Ice Cream Sodas at Zaharakos and walking (0.7mi) to Zwanzig Z's for pizza and beer. FYI breakfast is very formal, sit down dining with the other guests and inn keepers. There...

Nestled into an old neighborhood, this home stands majestic among the homes. It's beautifully restored to reflect the splendor of days gone by. Years of labor have gone into this home to bring it to the standards bed and breakfasts. Innkeeper very knowledgeable on the home, and the history of Columbus. Weather permitting you can enjoy time on the front...

Bed and Breakfast offering rooms each with private bathrooms on second floor. Owners are knowledgeable with local tips and guidance for visiting area, as well as conversational about the history of the home and the former residents' role in local history. A highlight of the stay was the breakfast which offered a wide variety of homemade seasonal, prepared dishes such...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ruddick-Nugent House. The room was very clean, all of the necessities were provided, and our hosts were warm and welcoming. Breakfast the next morning was a delight -- a tasty meal and engaging conversation. All in all this was an experience we would gladly repeat!

We're still talking about what a fun, old-fashion experience we had at Ruddick- Nugent House last weekend. We actually conversed with total strangers at breakfast table without phones, IPads, googling! earphones, IPods, or texting. It was quite scary at first but pots of good coffee, tasty food and excellent hosts helped us succeed and enjoy. We also recommend the accommodations...

Friends recommended this lovely B & B as a stop on our recent road trip. Not only will we thank them but we highly recommend this beautiful place to others making the trip to Columbus, IN. For us, this trip was an added bonus at the end of our long trip from Wisconsin for a week in the Smoky Mountains...

The Ruddick-Nugent house is set on a two-acre, wooded lot just north of downtown Columbus. Dennis the innkeeper rescued it from decline about 15 years ago and has made all the improvements himself to convert it to a B&B. He’s added fountains and plantings and the grounds are well maintained, but some details are neglected; benches are dirty, bird feeders...
