My husband and I were originally supposed to get married in April 2020 at another venue in Indianapolis, but COVID had other plans. When it became apparent in April 2021 our bridal party and immediate families would be fully vaccinated by mid-May 2021, we found ourselves planning a wedding in six weeks. This was only possible because the staff at the Alexander were absolutely incredible to work with. From our first visit with the sales coordinator Kristine, to the next steps of planning through the end of the event with Rebecca, we were treated with such care and professionalism. The Alexander staff worked so hard to pull together our picture perfect day, and we will be forever grateful for them. We had our ceremony outside in the courtyard and planned to do the same for cocktail hour, but a little bit of post-ceremony drizzle pushed people inside, which still worked great! The gallery is an incredible venue for a smaller wedding (we had 44 total), with plenty of space but also intimate. The food was excellent as well. Our guests who stayed at the hotel were very pleased with their stay, and particularly impressed with the hotel's COVID protocols. The bridal suite was a great place to get ready and had plenty of room. I cannot rave enough about our experience at the Alexander and we look forward to returning for future staycations, and having drinks at their awesome bar Plat 99.

I would not suggest staying here. We stayed for 7 days, was promised 2 days of room service,(Covid excuse) recieved none. Never got new towels either. Had to take out our own trash! Won’t be back!!!!’

Dear Jason, While we are committed to providing quick and efficient service during this time, it appears we fell short. For that, we apologize. Our front desk is always available to help resolve any issue and accommodate requests. We would have loved to find a solution for you during your stay. Please give us another chance to impress you the next time you are in the area.

For the price we paid to stay here, this was a real disappointment. Our room was flawed to say the least. The carpet had a large pink stain beside the bed (past vomit we’re guessing). Wallpaper was coming loose and outdated. Hair dryer did not work and there was NO WAY to contact the front desk from the room. Phone in room did nothing. We parked in the parking garage beside the hotel and it stated $35 for overnight. When we received our bill via email, we were charged $38, real nice added charge without informing us. The only positive we’ll give this hotel is the lobby was very nice and the front desk personnel were very friendly. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for the price they charge. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with The Alexander.

We picked this hotel for it's use of art throughout the building. That was definitely worth the stop. I was very impressed with the collection. We were disappointed that, as of this time, they have no valet (we self parked in a ramp a block away), and the resturarant and bar area were both closed. We were there on a Monday night and apparently they are only open on the weekends. We were told it was a staffing issue but it also didn't appear to be that busy, yet, either. The room was fine, bed comfortable, but the pillow was a bit overfilled for my taste and I struggled with it during the night. We were directed to a breakfast restaurant (Yolk) connected to the hotel for breakfast, which was good It's a great location for activities either at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse or Lucas Oil Stadium. This hotel is situated right in the heart of the action. It has a great modern, hip aesthetic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone..

I stayed at the Alexander for a work seminar for 5 days. The hospitality was unmatched - every hotel employee I encountered was extremely helpful. I had to ship a package and two employees offered to personally drop it off at FedEx for me. The food was delicious and of good variety. They were responsive to the needs of the seminar in terms of space, hospitality, and food options. While I didn't have a chance to explore closely, the art throughout the hotel was beautiful. They have several pieces and installations - I regret not spending more time looking at this. The room was very spacious and comfortable - excellent amenities. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thanks for taking such good care of us!
