We arrived at Stone Soup Inn at 1:00 p.m. when we were to be met by someone. After 10 - 15 minutes, we called the emergency number on the door and someone from Looking Glass Inn came over. He let us in the house which smelled musty and was extremely cold. After showing us a few rooms, he took us...

We are saddened to see a negative review regarding the Stone Soup Inn as we went out of our way to accommodate this guest - even opening an inn that was closed for the holidays to make them satisfied. The guest did reserve the Carriage House at the Stone Soup Inn. We do not make selections for our guests -...

Since a lot of Indianapolis Hotels were full, we stayed at Stone Soup for a weekend. In many ways we were pleasantly surprise - nice reading room space, pleasant dining room and a nice breakfast. Our room, the Lily had a comfortable Queen sized bed and a nice, large, well lit bathroom. Our only problem (why I gave 4 instead...

Accommodations. Location. Service. For me, the three most important aspects of my stay anywhere. At Stone Soup, all were top notch. Clean rooms with a warm decor. The location in a friendly neighborhood yet walking distance of downtown Indy. And a welcoming staff that was attentive and helpful with suggestions of things to do and see. Have already recommended to...

First, let me tell you about the positives... the location is outstanding in a neighborhood close to downtown, with nice tree shaded sidewalks if you like to walk. The staff was all very friendly and tried to be helpful. The food was excellent one morning and not edible the next morning (blueberry pancakes served which were uncooked in the middle...

We are sorry to have disappointed. We have had thousands of guests stay in our Lofts over the 20 years we have been open and they have loved them. We do understand that not all guests have the same taste and a more traditional room is a better fit for some. All of our Lofts do have queen size beds...

DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously. HORRIBLE customer service!!! I booked a room and they claimed that their 'booking app' booked me for the week following my intended stay. Then they tried to say that I had actually input the wrong dates. (Play along with me - 'The Customer is always _____.') Unfortunately for them, I had called immediately after booking...

The Stone Soup Inn doesn't have a 'booking app', we do have a booking engine on our website that is completely controlled by the guest reserving a room on-line. Our guests select a room, dates and any extra amenities they desire. We are then sent an email with the guests' request. We then confirm via email the room and dates....

Is every little thing perfect? No. Is it a wonderful experience overall? Oh my yes! We rented the Lily, Blue, Victorian and Craftsman rooms plus the NE, NW and SW lofts. Each room has its own charm. You have to time your showers for good water pressure. We loved the pumpkin strata and quiche for breakfast. Tom was a charming...

Stone Soup Inn is a beautiful home and B&B. With a warm welcome we were shown our room the NW Loft. The room was very nice and the loft was a very cozy place to sleep. The continental breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Overall wonderful experience and will be staying here again.

A week before our arrival date I used the website to tell the innkeepers about my dairy allergy. This is our primary reason for staying at bed and breakfasts, so we can access a one on one experience and ensure that when we travel, I can still receive a nice hot breakfast that won't make me ill. When I didn't...

We are sorry that your Expedia reservation didn't go as smoothly as it should. Unfortunately, when you book via a 3rd party we do not have access to your personal information. We do realize this makes us look like we don't care but we truly have no access to Expedia's customer other than what Expedia forwards to us. Payment is...

My husband and I stay in B&B's or hotels a few times a year. If we were 20 years old and this was our first time staying at a B&B, we would probably have a different perspective than we do now (we're in our 40's). From the outside, the house itself looked nice. The owner was not especially friendly at...

We look to welcome new visitors to our city and have created a warm, friendly environment - a home away from home - where travelers can relax by a fire, share their experiences and sleep in comfort. Located in the heart of the historic Old Northside, the Stone Soup Inn offers all the beauty and comfort of an upscale turn of the century home.
