I could go find a crackhead or k2 addict wandering around downtown with no shoes to do a better job than this. Who would take historic rail car sleeping rooms and Ik3a them. Now they might as well turn this into one of the hotel homeless shelters....except I wouldnt even wish these modernizations on homeless people looking for housing ;)

We stayed in a train car and it was a unique experience that my family and I enjoyed. The room is somewhat small in the setup but we did not plan to be in our room much anyway so that was not an issue. The tracks are situated on active lines and you could feel a slight rumble when a freight train would go by, very cool!. The hotel was very clean. We utilized the restaurant for breakfast and I had one of the BEST omelettes I have ever had. My son said his pancakes were good as well, the prices in the restaurant I felt were reasonable for a hotel restaurant. The front desk staff were excellent, patient, and accommodating. I do not remember their names but we had a wonderful gentleman check us in on July 4 and a fabulous gal for check out July 5. After a year of lockdowns, we were pleasantly surprised we had such a positive experience for our stay. I would definitely stay at this property again in the future. I am one that is EXTREMELY picky for accommodations and I honestly did not have one complaint with this property.

We booked a single night in a train car room for our family (we actually had two adjoining rooms for 5 of us), and it was SO neat. The train cars were unique, comfortable, clean and quiet. Both the kids and adults thought it was such a neat experience. If you have a train lover, you have to do this!

Staff was very nice. Had a free night using points so took a 2 hour trip to Indianapolis to spend the night and see the sights. I booked a poolside room. There was no window and noisy. A hair in sheets (just one) and one of those little flys that you sometimes find in basements was on bathroom wall. Asked to move to quieter room but hotel was booked so couldn’t. We self parked in garage and walked around Indy for a couple of hours. Got back from walk and checked out a few hours after we checked in. Went home instead of spending the night. Lessons learned - don’t ever try to use reward night just because, and there is not much going on in Indy.

Hello Crackerjack1234, It was our pleasure to accommodate one of our valued IHG Rewards members. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. While I am happy you found our staff members accommodating, I am genuinely sorry to hear about the room’s cleanliness, layout and noise issues encountered. I recognize your dismay with these aspects. Trust that we always have our guests’ interest at heart. That said, I have shared your feedback to our hotel’s upper management as reference for continuous improvement on our services and amenities. Thanks again for making IHG Hotels & Resorts your home away from home. It will be our pleasure having you back as our guests’. Best, Kenneth F. Case Manager IHGService

Valet: The valet WYNTON greeted us and was very polite and welcoming. We had the same Valet all 4 nights we stayed. I joked with him he must live here. We left multiple times and I appreciate no matter how many times I came and gone from the hotel he was always so pleasant and never skipped a beat with saying “thank you and enjoy your stay.” WYNTON has been amazing and really made us feel welcome and comfortable staying here. This is our first time at this location and if everyone is as awesome and as inviting as him this place would make you feel it’s home away from home. Front Desk: The front desk attendant FRANK I believe, was very nice and informative. He explained the holding fee on the room, due to COVID the pool and restaurant were closed, but they do have breakfast and dinner hours in a different area in the hotel. NATE was another attendant we spoke to during our stay. We had issues with overcharges to our card two separate charges shouldn’t have been there both times he just so happened to be working and assured us the manager would contact us once he came in. It took a couple days for the manager to call but once he did it all was sorted out immediately. Room: I’ve always been big on hygiene and cleanliness so it doesn’t matter what hotel I stay in I bring a bag of cleaning and sanitizing supplies. The room did need some good cleaning in all honesty. Apart from the obvious dusting..there were pubic hairs on the toilet seat..one of the pillow cases looked like there was makeup smudged from a previous guest..and the fridge had spills on the rack and side door holder. Pros- •some what spacious “2 queen bed superior” •shower pressure and temperature was EVERYTHING I needed •air conditioner •comfy chair Cons- •THE WORST BED squeaky lumpy super uncomfortable it just wasn’t it for me at all •Housekeeper in the morning inconsiderate of people sleeping that aren’t getting their rooms cleaned. She was yelling to someone else from a distance multiple times and slamming the door on the door stopper. •Toilet very loud flush water rises high to the top before flushed down Food: We only tried one meal during our whole stay. Dinner was basic/average, it was lasagna meat balls zucchini and a dinner roll. My husband went to get one plate to share just in case we didn’t like it because we are use to eating home cooked meals and are particular about other people’s recipes. (I’m a recipe creator) They give you a styrofoam food container and ask you what you want and then pass you the container back because of COVID they don’t let everyone touch everything which we appreciated. I had a couple bites of lasagna and honestly couldn’t continue. He ate the bread and zucchini. Noise: The first night was actually quiet even with a lot of football players here right now. It was very peaceful and chill. But on the second night there were a couple girls running around screaming and slamming doors multiple times around 10:30-11pm. Which made me angry because my 3yr old had surgery the next morning. Understandable not everyone is in town for business. I’m all for enjoying fun but respectfully at 11pm please don’t drunkenly play around outside my door when your room isn’t even over here. (Multiple times at that) I went to the front desk to ask if there was an event going on (wanting to be more tolerable if there was like a bachelorette party or something going on) she did say there was a wedding happening this weekend. So I said if it continues we’ll need to switch rooms because I don’t want to curse anyone out. She said she can switch my room, I told her let me wait a bit see if they calm down and if not I’ll be back. When I went back to my room they were gone and not too much noise but a little was going on out there gratefully and thankfully! Finally got some rest around 1AM. Third night was quiet and fourth night was loud because a lot of people there for a wedding so not much sleep.
