I was worried when I booked the room because it is an active train station as well. I read a previous review which made it sound like it would be a long night. I can say the trains did not keep me up. I used the PanAm parking garage which joined the hotel and is a lot cheaper than the hotel's valet. You are walking distance to many restaurants and a mall. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for a fee.

Attended a convention on site - what a great location! Stayed in a train car on the north side of the hotel - unbelievably quiet. Excellent room, king suite, all in a 1920 Pullman. Convention was located in adjacent Union Station. Built in 1888, refurbished in 1986, tremendous architecture - a real step back in time. Hotel did an outstanding job of service and food was amazing. I've been to over 100 conventions - this was by far the best setting and the best service. Would certainly come back again!

I booked a 3-night stay in this hotel for a business trip in June 2015. I was 5 months pregnant and had to sign a waiver at the front desk during check in. The waiver states I understood there was train noise and I would not be allowed to cancel my reservation due to train noise. So on the first night, I was sleeping when the first train ran through the building at 2:33am. The room and bed shook so violently I was almost catapulted out of bed. If you’ve ever been in a war zone with bombs falling around you, you’ll know what I mean. I was so traumatized afterwards, I was unable to sleep. The next morning, I checked out and moved into.a neighboring hotel which was peaceful. The whole time I couldn’t help thinking about my baby and what would have happened if the experience had somehow affected him. (The irony is my now-6 year old son is obsessed with trains, but not from this hotel experience!)…

The entire staff was very friendly and seemed to remember that you were staying there once they met you. Ate at both restaurants in the hotel and the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. The wife and I stayed in one of the train car suites and absolutely loved it. I wanted to give a special shout out to the valet staff especially Calvin for taking such great care of my truck. Had to use valet because it was to tall for the parking garage next door and glad I did.

We had a late arrival and the Valet was amazing at directing and assisting us. The staff behind the counter that night were not as helpful. Asked where to find our room and were directed to the elevators our room was in 700’s did not know the 2nd number dictated the floor .. had to go back and ask a 2nd time how to find the room. The morning desk staff were absolutely amazing and helpful extremely friendly All in all loved the hotel. The train car was so cool and coming up on them is very cool. Would stay again for sure

Kuyler had our van ready for us as soon as we checked out and was kind and helpful to our students with Visual Impairments. He also repeatedly offered us directions both home and to the Indiana Children’s Museum if we needed it!

The check in process was easy. A little confusing to figure out where your room is at times but the hotel is so cool and has so much character. The rooms inside the trains looked so cool. The room was fine. My tv didn’t work and when i called they said someone would come up but nobody ever did. Also the shower head was really low so I had to hold it higher to wash my hair but it was fine. Great location. The parking staff was great too. I would stay here again!!
