Quiet..romantic staging point to see LA Rioja..more or less 30 minute drive to Lorgorno..Haro..and others..Tastefully unique in a ancient way but still very modern. ..wifi..elevator..AC.... The on site restaurant was very good and a good value....service was acceptable but not great. Hotel staff were warm and genuinely happy to help..They speak limited English but this wasn't an issue communicating..Highly recommended...

Just a single night's stopover between the ferry port at Santander and Barcelona, for the delivery of my daughter's beloved Fiat 500. A perfect distance as a 2.5 hour drive had us arriving just in time to check-in and change for dinner. A warm welcome in English, shown to a warm and inviting room, a great shower, comfortable beds and...

Housed in a beautiful old building the hotel is well equipped and comfortable. Rooms are large and a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast was excellent with eggs and bacon freshly cooked to order and a great range of other food on the buffet. The owner was very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant next door was a disappointment through; prices were...

We've just spent 2 nights here. Lovely building with a real Spanish feel to it. Room was comfortable - cool even at 32 deg outside. The meal in the restaurant on our first night was great. I had the asparagus & confit cod. The cava/sorbet was excellent. Wish there had been a vegetarian option - but this is Spain. Breakfast...

This Palace is located in a small town about 10 mins south of Haro. The building, hots, gardens, parking and breakfasts are superlative. Read the other reviews, it's perfect (except maybe for the church bells). Wifi very good. Spanish speaking skills would be an asset, but not essential.

We stayed here for two nights. Sadly we were the only people staying but we were made to feel very welcome. We had wanted to eat in the hotel on one of the evenings but felt that it would have been a little lonely with just the two of us .... The owners made it clear that they had no...

We would be in Rioja for 2 nights in late September. We however did not realise that our stay coincided with the Logrono wine festival. Our first, second and third preference hotels were all booked out. Panic! But the Palacio de Casafuerte had rooms. Zarraton is a bit out in the sticks. And there did not seem to be other...

Don't be fooled by the 3 star rating this location could easily be considered 5 star. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and phenomenally clean with everything you could ever want. The location has a view of rolling vineyard hills and the village. The owners are more than just hosts they treat you like family and go above and beyond to...

A stunning old building set back from the road and beautifully restored. I chose it as we were visiting Yuso and Suso monasteries and then going towards Rioja. The host did not speak English but translated by speaking into his ipad. Very funny> Stunning room...the pictures do it justice. Breakfast was an amazing feast. Do stay here if in the...

Two times we stayed here. And both times we were reluctant to leave. The location is beautifully restored, and the rooms are all unique and very pleasant. Very comfortable beds! The management is very friendly and hospitable. After a lovely breakfast (your eggs are prepared according to your wishes). Our favorite place to stay in this part of the Rioja!
