Playground to Hollywood celebrities in the 1950s, glamorous Couples Tower Isle exudes a chic sophistication perfectly balanced by a relaxed Caribbean sensuality. Perched on the lush terrain of Ocho Rios, Jamaica—the resort seduces with breathtaking sea views, a wide sandy beach and century-old palm trees. Discover the joys of snorkeling among the reefs, windsurfing on the waves, or sailing into the sunset on a catamaran, rum punch in hand. Intricate blue tile work and jade chaise lounges offset the striking white retro architecture. Luxurious rooms boast private ocean-breeze balconies. We had an excellent experience at Couples Tower Isle. The layout of the resort is easy to navigate and the sights are beautiful at the resort and at the Tower. The beach is clean, big, and there is lots of shade. The food and food service was amazing! There is always food available somewhere on the resort, and there are themed nights at the buffet offering a variety of flavours every night, with some form of live entertainment around 7 or 8pm. It’s nice to have the option of attending the sister resort minutes away for the day. We met so many great people (staff and guests), though we can’t name them all. On arrival we were greeted by Kirk, who helped us with our bags; he was so kind and laid back. We got a tour of the resort from Shani who is part of the entertainment team; she’s so sweet and has a great sense of humour. We spent a lot of time on the beach doing on-site activities. This resort has a variety of activities and excursions available to guests; some are free with your stay some cost, it depends on your booking package. We spent a lot of time with the entertainment team and the water-sport team; they are well-organized, their equipment is very clean, the staff always make you feel safe and comfortable, and they were always willing to join in on the fun — this added so much to our experience. They always make sure you are safe and happy, they got your back. Shout out to Cyril, Ronaldhino, Brittany, Shaquie, Jada, Jumaane, Dwight and many others for their great company, sense of humour and sportsmanship. They have scuba diving on-site; Capn’ Kurt is a great instructor. The housekeeping staff does a great job at keeping the rooms very clean. Make sure to keep any food you bring to your room sealed or refrigerate to prevent attracting insects - the kitchen staff was amazing for always wrapping our “to-go” food with plastic wrap. The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. The spa is clean and comfortable, and the staff was great. Our massages by Christine and Sharon were a great way to start and end our vacation. The resort offers a rewards program with great prices for return guests. We will certainly be returning to this wonderful resort, and recommend it to anyone!

This is my 15th AI in 6 countries and my 2nd time in Jamaica. We wanted an Adults Only, and Tower Isle was just a little bit more expensive than the average hotel and the included extras and the couples-focused hotel made it seem well worth it. After you clear customs (which is amazingly fast and modern), you leave the customs area and there are a few hotel lounges to your left. At the couples lounge, there’s a set of toilets, a small bar with beer and snacks and some seating. Your luggage is tagged and they tell you the wait is about 15 minutes until the shuttle leaves. We were in a bus with a few couples, ride was friendly and efficient. Check in was great. They gave you a package with information about the hotel and a schedule of events. The reception provides really good service, it’s much less stressful than other resorts.
Room We had room 4505, we had paid for a superior oceanview room, but they said we upgraded us to the deluxe oceanview room. As noted in many of the reviews, the rooms are very “tired” however, it is kept exceptionally clean. The room did look recently refreshed (they were repainting and maintaining the week we were there), some of the furniture was in good shape, and only the dresser and drinks cabinet looked old. The bathroom was the same, it looks like they upgraded the sink but I hated the sink, there was no slant, so things would just get stuck on the sink (poor maids). Toilet worked great, except there was a missing cap on the toilet seat. The shower looked a bit old and the water pressure was pretty poor. We bought a Chromecast, it was difficult to plug it in but once it worked it was great. Some shows are not available but it gave us a lot more options when we were in the room winding down. The view was stunning, you overlook the swim up pool, and can see a very nice oceanview with the island off in the distance. The maids during the week did an excellent job of keeping the room clean. They typically cleaned the rooms for us around 9:30am. Turndown service was around 5:30-8:00pmish. Since we were typically in the room at this time, we had the turndown service 3 out of the 7 days. I would give the rooms 3/5 but it was very comfortable.
Restaurants
Patio Patio is the main restaurant. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. All breakfast (except room service) is here. They typically have the same things (sausage, bacon, eggs), with a few changes in some of the options (i.e. fruit, veggies, etc.). They have yogurt, and if you look around the salad corner, they usually have things like seeds and nuts to enhance yogurts or salads. The buffet is much smaller than other large resorts, but the quality is good and you have to be creative. The plain croissant was actually very good, it was buttery and flakey. I cut it in half and made breakfast sandwiches with the ingredients around the buffet. We had several lunches here. Lunch has a small buffet to make your own appetizer and salad, your entrée is ordered off the menu. We found that after you get seated, they will fill your water and once you come back from getting your app or salad, they will take your order then. We did not have dinner here.
Pool Grill I loved the pool grill. They had the best food. I enjoyed their jerk chicken, fries and patties. It’s open most of the time except for dinner.
Verandah No reservations required. We had one meal at Verandah and we enjoyed it. It was a casual but relaxing atmosphere.
Bayside I am Asian and I approve of the food here. The food was very tasty, not 100% authentic but pretty close. We enjoyed all our meals here. However, depending on time of year, it can be STIFLING hot here. If it’s not windy and it’s hot, wear very light clothing and bring a fan if you have one. It’s probably amazing when it’s breezy but both times we went we were very hot.
Eight Rivers Eight Rivers was my favorite restaurant. It had a lovely relaxing and upscale atmosphere. Food was always good here and I always wanted to try everything.
Veggie Bar We had one snack here. The sandwiches/wraps/paninis were great if you wanted a light meal.
Martini Bar We usually had an early night so we only made it on our last night to have a martini. They have any kind of martini you could want. I asked for a peach one and my partner got an espresso. Both were very good. It’s a very nice vibe.
Room Service We ordered breakfast one day. It came promptly, and even included two glasses of ice water which was a nice touch.
Beach The beach was not big, but usually (during low season) you can find a nice shady spot. It was the only place I’ve been to where it was super easy to get drinks on the beach. They’re always keeping an eye out. The beach is lovely and it’s very swimmable.
Pools We enjoyed all the pools at CTI. They were very clean and it was very easy to get drinks.
Gym and Yoga. Gym was not big but was sufficient. It had water and towels. There were two yoga classes a day (which is amazing since I sometimes do not want to wake up early for yoga). I did the 4pm class and it was wonderful. I really enjoyed it.
Au Natural Island We did not plan on going to the island because although I’m not a prude and would probably be okay with topless, the idea of full nude scared me a little. Finally, after a couple of days we decided we were going to try it with the intention that if we did not like it or were uncomfortable, we would leave. I was very nervous on the boat ride. However, once we arrived we realized it was no big deal. To be honest, I still don’t like the idea of anyone or staff seeing me nude so I made my partner do all the ordering (LOL). However, it was very enjoyable the view was unobstructed and beautiful.
Trading Spaces – Couples San Souchi We booked trading spaces on the first day we could. The other hotel is only about a 10 minute drive away. It’s much larger than CTI and more spread out. The beach was lovely, and it’s very nice foliage and views everywhere. We did prefer the food at CTI (at least for lunch anyways). They do not treat you any different.
Service For those that frequent AIs, you know that once you find a server that is prompt, you always try to sit in their section. After 2 meals, I realized this was not necessary. EVERYONE at CTI gave exceptional service. I mean everyone. It was so refreshing to get the service from everyone that you would find the one gem at other AIs.
Car Service CTI called a cab for us to go to Dunns River (unfortunately since we booked late it was not included). The driver brought us there and brought us back, service was good. Our drop off to the airport was also great.
Summary CTI was the best resort I’ve ever been to. We went in August were occupancy was extremely low (there was a day where nobody was in the pool) so this could affect your experience. While it was not the newest or most modern resort, everything else made up for it. The staff were outstanding and it is such a RELIEF when you know that you won’t get pushed aside because someone had a bigger bill than you. This was the first trip where I felt everything was romantic. No kids, no singles, just couples. It made for a very romantic and pleasant trip. I really hope we can continue going to Couples resorts. I would love to try them all.

We stayed 10 days in a Signature Oasis Spa Villa #6008, and we enjoyed every moment. These rooms come with private transportation, which was a great way to begin our honeymoon. For us, the private pool was the reason we booked this room category, but the unlimited spa services were a nice bonus. My husband and I spent most of our time in our pool, so I can't speak to the other pools on property. The property is beautiful and not spread out. It's a quick walk to anywhere you need to go. There are many options for food from in room service to buffet style to casual and upscale sit-down dining. Try all the soups. Try new foods. The lamb chops were amazing. Nachos every day while playing cards was a must for us. Ask the bartenders to make you a shot or drink you haven't tried before. We found the resort to be well staffed, clean, safe, and comfortable. We took advantage of some of the off property excursions, both included with our stay and extra ones we paid for. Although tipping is included in your rate and prohibited, there were a few employees who were obviously waiting for/expecting a tip. Management quickly addressed the one concern we had during our stay and they were present on property and easily accessible each day. We will return again.

Had a fabulous two weeks here. The hotel was lovely. A lot of reviews said it was dated and tired. Yes it’s an older style hotel (imagine a boutique rather than a swanky new corporate style) but it certainly wasn’t tired. There were maintenance men there every day painting handrails etc and touching up rooms. The room was lovely (5505) and room service was twice a day. All inclusive here absolutely means all inclusive at no extra cost. The food was beautiful - we ate in the Bayside twice, eight rivers three times and then the verandah the rest of the time except the gala dinner and Jamaican night. The tennis coach Colin was great, as were all the entertainment staff. In fact every member of staff were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. This was our first time here and we were a bit nervous having read some of the reviews but we will absolutely definitely be back! Thank you Couples Tower Isle

During our stay at the resort, we were treated to an exceptional experience that truly exceeded our expectations. The culinary offerings were not only diverse but also of high quality, ensuring a delightful dining experience at every meal. The entertainment provided was both engaging and varied, catering to a wide range of interests, which added a vibrant atmosphere to our stay. Our room, a key component of our comfort, was maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and offered all the amenities necessary for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It was spacious, well-appointed, and became a cozy sanctuary for us after each day's activities. Moreover, what truly set this resort apart was the unparalleled level of service provided by the staff. Each member of the team, from the reception to the housekeeping staff, was not only friendly and courteous but also went out of their way to be helpful, making us feel genuinely cared for. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our needs played a significant role in enhancing our overall experience at the resort.

My wife and I visited Couples Tower Isle from 27th December until 6th January. We had researched the resort, taking on board both the negative and positive comments. As others have said the property is slightly dated, but in our opinion this added to the resorts charm. We had a ‘garden’ view room on the 3rd floor of building 3, it was lovely, clean and roomy with the balcony over looking the grounds gardens, where all sorts of wildlife and tree’s could be observed, with the highlight being able to see the hummingbirds. One of the main reasons for choosing Tower Isle was the food which was fantastic, from the buffet restaurant which had a vast array of fresh food to the ‘Bayside’ & ‘Eight Rivers’ a la cart restaurants which served elegant and delicious menus. You also had out of hours food available at the ‘Grill’ which served burgers, hot dogs etc all through the night. The pool areas were great, all very clean and plenty of sun beds. We spent the majority of our time at the swim up bar pool and enjoyed exploring the vast cocktail menu🤪. The beach was cleaned daily by the water sports team and the sea water was lovely and warm. The staff at the resort are the main reason people return here year after year, we have been to many resorts but the staff here are the best ever encountered, especially the entertainment team who go over and above to make sure everyone is having a great time. This was our first trip to the Caribbean and I’m glad we choose Couples Tower Isle, we may not be back due to lots of other islands we want to visit, but we would recommend this resort without hesitation

This was only our second time doing an all inclusive holiday and it has exceeded our expectations by far! Virgin Holidays were very helpful, kept us informed with emails and checklists. Pick-up from and to airports run smoothly. The hotel was fantastic and was everything as described and more. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, the entertainment was on point and the scenery, the beach, the sun all contributed to a great and unforgettable holiday! Our rooms were being cleaned and monitored twice a day in the morning and at night with fresh towels and beach towels provided. Also, the mini bar was fully equipped and everything was replaced when things run out. If there would be one comment to make it would be for music to be more present at the beach, perhaps adding a bar on the beach directly rather than the two around the two pools of the hotel.

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable all inclusive on the beach hotel with lovely staff, great food and drink, fairly low key entertainment (its not an 18-30 kind of place, with foam parties), then CTI is a brilliant choice. We are repeaters (13 visits) to Couples Resorts, we love CTI, it's our firm favourite. The staff are just fabulous, very warm and attentive, working so hard. Of course, we've got to know quite a few of them rather well by now ☺️ lots who have worked there for years. To name just a few, Jacient, Omar, Weyonia, Pauline, O'Neil, Bryan, Travis, Stretch, Courtney, Everton, Lord Byron, Kirk, Keyshon, Ms Bailey. It's ultra all inclusive so no extras to pay for (unless you wish to upgrade your wine). Booking restaurant reservations were never a problem. Overall, the food was very good. We only ate in the buffet restaurant breakfast and lunch times. There's a vast array of drinks to choice from, including premium liquor brands. Bar staff are very entertaining, making amazing cocktails. Trips to Dunns River falls, boat trips, water sports all included. There are always plenty of sunbeds anytime of day. 2 lovely pools to choose from. Small, peaceful private beach, no one bothering you trying to sell you stuff. There's not much shade around the pools, though. Okay, rooms are a little dated but perfectly fine, they are spotless, have a large comfy bed, lots of pillows, dressing gowns, smart TV, fresh towels, plenty of hot water, full bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. We always have a good time here, catching up with friends and making new ones each time we come. ❤️

When deciding on an adult all-inclusive, I have prioritized resorts solely on whether the property in its entirety is “adults only”. Many advertise as “adults only” but it really consists of a designated building and pool. Couples Tower Isle was “adults only” so I didn't run into children at breakfast. The location of the resort is excellent. My oceanview room overlooked both a pool and the ocean including a parallel view of the horizon. Additionally, the resort is very intimate due to the limited number of rooms. It was nice to not have to stand in line for use of the amenities or to refrain from certain areas due to overcrowding. There were many times when my partner and I felt by ourselves in common areas. The intimacy also enhanced the level of service we received from the staff. Our interactions with the staff were always pleasant and they were accommodating to our requests. The food was delicious. I tried to eat the fried snapper sandwich at the pool grill everyday and the offerings ranged from curried goat chops, to a delectable watermelon salad. It was also nice to be able to experience all of the restaurants on property with even same-day reservations. If you are impatient with leisurely meal service, you may get grumpy. We were allowed to visit San Souci for a day and we enjoyed the snorkeling trip. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment although we typically wandered off to the pier or the room by 10pm. The bands featured at the resort are top tier. If you listen closely as you wander the hallways, some of the staff are well on their way to stardom as well. We are thankful to Erica, Dwight, Conrad, Travis, Okeem, and the entire staff who made our time so wonderful.

We stayed at Couple Tower Isle, to celebrate my sister 60th and my birthdays. The rooms were big, enough wardrobe space with a big balcony. Bathroom, space to walk into shower was very limited, this required manoeuvring yourself between toilet and sink table. Shower could have been more powerful and temperature of the water, more hotter. Rooms were serviced nicely.
To celebrate out birthdays the hotel left a bottle of wine and plate of cheese and biscuits, with a birthday message in our rooms.
There are 4 restaurants. Food lacked flavour and not hot in temperature. There was not much options for vegetarians.
Staff are not willing to mix food ingredients on the menu. When I asked if they could replace chicken with jerk chicken in the burger and was told they could NOT do this. One morning at breakfast we waited for over 30 mins for champagne at breakfast because they have run out of flutes. Run out natural yogurt by 9.00am. One evening member came up to our table in a restaurant to ask us about out experience. We mentioned our above experiences as well as that pizzas are not freshly prepared. He insisted they were. So we asked to be present at the time of making, we are still waiting to be invited. On the same evening my sister asked for decaf coffee at restaurant, only to be told by staff that they have run out. So we brought this to his attention. He spoke to this member of staff and said "go and find decaf coffee". she came back with decaf coffee in 5 minutes. We asked him how he would feel if he was in our position, he replied that he would not be happy.
Every day there was some kind of incident.
It felt that some of the staff at the restaurant were on holiday with you.
At one time member of staff stopped to chat with her colleagues while she was getting water for us, which took over 7-10 mins.
Hotel is about 2 hours away from the airport and tiring after a long flight. Hotel provides shuttle to and from the airport.
This hotel lacks a good service all round including restaurant and menus. We were looking forward to this holiday very much and spent a lot of money to experience all-inclusive 5 star hotel.
I would not rate this as 5 star hotel.
