Had a meal and spent the night - great conversation with relief managers and other patrons. Best seafood platter that we have had for quite a while. Clean amenities and simply lots to look at around the hotel. Must see! We will be back.

Step back in time. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Fabulous food, friendly staff and locals. An interesting hostess who is the chef. She is a prolific artist so the hotel is also an art gallery. There is also a camping and caravan area. Looking forward to our next visir

First looks are sooo deceiving. This was a great place to camp and the food was absolutely delicious. Julie and her staff are so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go back if in the area again. $4 for a shower is very worth it.

We chanced upon this hotel as we passed through the town, taking an inland route, returning to Hervey Bay from Darwin. About 8.00 p.m. and time for a meal having been delayed by floods nearer Emerald. Only three other customers in the pub that night but we had an excellent meal and spent nearly two hours there. Will return for a weekend stay in the near future. bedrooms are excellent and probably not much altered over nearly 100 years. We were allowed to have our small dog on the verandah with us during the meal.and she enjoyed some of our pork roast.

Stopped here for a late lunch whilst travelling north on the Burnett Highway. What a great place: it certainly stands out from the roadway with its distinctive colours, art work and architecture. Inside, lots of amazing local memorabilia. Food seems to be served all day long and is good old fashioned pub food style: full of flavour, generous and excellently priced. I had the roast of the day (pork) which was suitably varied to suit my gluten free requirements and my wife had the battered seafood basket. All very good. Highly recommend a meal stop here: this place deserves supporting.
