I stayed here this past weekend with my sister and brother-in-law. The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Rooms are clean. If you are going to the casino,...More
Hadn't been for a while and while we didn't win anything big we had a good time and played some machines we really liked. Had a lot of fun. They even have my favorite machine. Will probably go again soon.
We like to stay at the Hollywood hotel whenever we go to the casino. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Downside: It is a long walk to the casino and restaurants. We like that they offer smoking and non-smoking rooms.
Very friendly staff. Rooms were very nice but there was a dirty towel left in our room. Bottom of closet door needed to be cleaned! We were offered one free breakfast buffet when we checked in which was just ok , had better breakfast buffets!...More
We got the hotel room free for two nights from the Hollywood Casino - so we have to give it a great value rating. The room was clean and spacious. They made up the room during the day for the next day, and that was...More

The horseshoe that I've been to is in Cinci and doesn't have a hotel. I've been to grand Victoria in rising sun and it was a joke, will never go back. I don't remember ever having a bad time at the Hollywood Lawrenceburg and that goes all the way back to the days of waiting in line for 2 hours for the Argosy boat to return to dock. Since they built the Hollywood Casino and Hotel it has always been first class. I think they have suffered since ohio opened casinos and laid off people, closed tables, etc. No breakfast buffet with omelet chef early in the week anymore but still packed on weekends. If I can't make it to Vegas then I would pick Hollywood Lawrenceburg. (Or maybe IP in Biloxi, but that's a flight, not a 2 hour drive)
