We stopped at Downsview to break our long journey from home to Provence. We were extremly impressed with the warm welcome and all the facilities. The emphasis was certainly on comfort and the owners could not be more helpful and attentive. The welcoming drink at the bar was an added bonus after our long journey. We cannot recommend Downsview more...

My wife and I had our second stay at Downsview a couple of weeks ago and were once again blown away by just how nice this place is. This place is much more than a Guest House, the owners Martin and Sue make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble, they treat you like friends or family...

Nice to arrive, with pretty lights at entrance gate, plenty of parking space in enclosed car-park. Lovely warm, attractive tiled entrance hall. We stayed while the owners were away, the cover managers, Tim and Susan were outstanding hosts. Exceptionally clean room, warm and cosy, plenty of towels, plenty of hot water. The bar is old fashioned in a good way,...

I wanted to stay near to Ashford before taking the train to Paris, I guess the default is a Travelodge/Holiday inn, however I noticed Downsview on Trip Advisor...........what a result. I must say it has a great feel, and cleaner that some five start hotels I have stayed in. A very comfortable stay and made to feel very welcome. In...

The owners, Martin and Sue, have put such a lot of care into making this place as comfortable as possible for their guests. There's a little bar to big people to relax in, a garden to sit in with views over the fields and space for little people to play, tea making facilities in the rooms and a shared kitchen...
