My family and I have been here many times. I have children 4 - 13 in age. The pool area is super fun and not so big that you lose track of your kids. The food in the lodge is outstanding. Comfort food, not fine dining. There are a couple of posts about cleanliness. Lets get real for a minute...Its... More

Spent a few days in the Brown County State Park and loved visiting the Abe Martin Lodge each day. This is a beautiful lodge, with warm log wood features everywhere. They have a small indoor water park which is perfect for younger kids. The lodge also has a large, beautifully appointed conference room that's ideal for weddings and parties. The... More

The lodge looks nice enough from the parking lot and the lobby. It is certainly dated. There are not nearly enough electrical outlets for today's modern digital age. The Wi-Fi in our room was hit and miss. A bigger problem for us was that the ground floor room was cold and drafty. We set the thermostat on almost 80 degrees... More

Rented a one room "rustic" cabin for just my husband and I. Thank God we only stayed one night. The room smelled old and musty. There was dirt on the bed ruffle which had obviously not been washed in, well, ever! The bed covering was at least 25 years old and threadbare. I saw stuff all over the wooden floor,... More

I want to apologize for the maintenance and housekeeping issues in our cabin during your stay. Brown County State Park is wonderful park to visit and I am sorry the lodge did not meet the expectations that are needed for our guest to have a wonderful stay. Please contact me at 812-988-4418 and we can address any other concerns. More

We stayed in a family cabin over the weekend and it was super dirt. It was so gross. My little girl who is a crawler, had a white onesie and within two minutes it was dark brown. The vents had dust everywhere. The picture online was not what it actually looked like. We took a wet towel and mopped the... More

This is our second visit to Abe Martin Lodge. For the most part this place is nice and the decor is cool and rustic. This time around though we must have come during a slight renovation. Our room was lacking a microwave and refrigerator. Luckily we have a cooler with ice for our stuff. We have also found a couple... More

Abe Martin Lodge nestled in Brown County State Park Indiana is treat for the fall foliage lovers. All folks entering the park from the main entrance get an opportunity to drive through a beautiful covered bridge into the park. After paying a fee for the first time your room key will allow you in and out. Check in during the... More

Nestled in the woods at the top of a hill the lodge offered gorgeous views of the fall color. The room was cute however it had a musty smell. Everything worked just fine, a little dirty and tired. Did enjoy reading by the large warm fireplace in the lounge.

We stayed in the Abe Martin Lodge, and it was just great! The room was mostly clean, although I always use Clorox wipes to wipe things down when we arrive at a hotel room, and I thought the bathroom needed a little touch up with the wipes. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were awesome! We had a patio... More

We love staying at Indiana State Park inns. Always comfy and clean rooms. Abe Martin lodge is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We didn't use the pool area but looks like fun. Waterslides, hot tub and lazy river to enjoy.
