What a lovely owner run couple that welcomed us and served great dinner and breakfast. Very attentive. Lovely rooms with all you need and a little patio. Tranquil farm environment with beautiful gardens. Sit and take it all in and read for a while. The owners have an amazing insight into they wildlife, insects and birds on the farm and...

We stay at Garingboom on a recent trip down to the Cape. What a beautiful place. Cottages, although small are well equipped, clean and comfortable. The hosts are very hands on and welcomming. The best roast lamb and traditional farm veggies I have ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

We have visited Garingboom on two occasions and this time it was really hard to leave after our 3-day stay! The rooms are delightful, well-equipped, and with views onto green fields and faraway "vlaktes". The ponds in front of the cottages attract large numbers of birds and dragonflies, subjects on which Riette is very knowledgeable. She also takes birders out...

Garingboom B&B is a jewel of a guest farm in the Southern Free State, near Colesburg. Perfect for a stopover on your N1. So pleased we spent two nights here. Our girls loved feeding the lambs and cracking the thick ice on our little pond after a freezing cold night (-6)! Our cottage was anything but cold, we were toasty...

We arrived to a silent welcome - the doorbell of the very old main house was broken. A hearty call brought a welcoming Riette to help us settle in in our very warm and comfortable room, quiet broken only by the lovely bleating of the lambs. Dinner was delicious with roast mutton, potatoes and rice, and sweet pumpkin - just...

Stayed in a self contained cottage with a double bed in one room and three single beds in another room. Everything you need and very comfortable beds in the most tranquil setting. We booked for dinner for three, which was a beautiful three course meal of fish starter, the best ever Karoo lamb followed by ice cream. Breakfast was just...

Ideally situated as a stop over point between the Cape & Jhbg. Accommodation was very comfortable, clean and adequately big enough for a family of four. Hosts were most accommodating and very welcoming. Will certainly recommend.
