We had a tent and was on site number four. We arrived after a big storm. The site was in a good location with no standing water. The restrooms were close. The trails were good. Be sure to check out Wolf Cave and The Falls. The price of fire wood was a bit high, so bring your own. Great time!!

Our family of 22 booked 4 campsites & stayed one night. We had 11 kids with us, ages ranging from 2-15. Pros: Gorgeous park with lots of trails that are family friendly, nice big pool, horseback riding & pony rides. The campsites were well shaded & the comfort stations were clean & nicer than a lot of other state parks...

We go here every year. Beautiful, clean park. Roads are modern and paved. Excellent campground. Numerous activities year-round. Classic hiking trails. I could go on. We will perennially patronize this park.

Ok, so let me begin by saying I'm usually a pretty positive person. However, as the saying goes, "if the shoe fits, wear it" this will be a negative review. Here is a list of the pros and cons: Pro: The main gate is open 24 hours, which is neat...as most parks don't have the available park personnel that reliably....

This park has well-marked trails. The water in the creeks was rather high due to recent rains, so we were unable to cross in a few trails. Despite that, we were able to hike almost all of the trails in a little less than two days. Very well-maintained park.

I attended a writing conference at this park. Love the Inn, the meeting room, and the restaurant. The park itself is gorgeous. Many hiking trails. Close to Bloomington, but not much else right in Spencer.

And there is no admission charge during the winter months. Hiking, caving outdoors. Dining, resting, board games in the inn. There is also a small gift shop. When there is a fire in the fireplace, nothing could be cozier.

We have visited multiple times and stayed in the cabins and love it here. We were only able to book one night over Fall Break, which makes a lot of work for one night! But it is so nice here at the park. Be prepared, it is no Holiday Inn or Hampton, but a rustic semi-furnished cabin with a musty...

I love this park!!! Quiet and peaceful. Clean and well maintained. The shower water at the comfort station was possibly the hottest water I have ever tried to shower in but it worked well. Got to do the wolf cave trail for the first time in years and the first time since a serious long term illness. I thought I...

We have camped at McCormicks Creek twice this summer and have at least two more trips planned before we have to shut the camper down for the winter. This is our favorite State Park, especially for camping. The campground is fully wooded with many campsites being very privately located to the neighboring sites. That doesn't mean that you can't see...
