To start, the location is breathtaking, second the hosts Kelly and Tony pampered us and were very accommodating. Also the breakfast out on the back porch overlooking the lake were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the boat ride to the town of Winnona, where many quaint shops along the canal. The Blue Heron Guest House was definitely a very good choice... More

My husband and I really needed to unwind. The Blue Heron Guest House Innkeepers were very nice, and their hospitability really made the difference in our ability to let the cares of the world wash away from our minds. The décor transports the guests to another place-where classical architecture and classy décor meet the beauty of a lake house. Hummingbirds... More

We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday. The home is lovely, and our hosts were warm and friendly. It was a relaxing setting right on the water. I would recommend this spot for a weekend away! We found lots of great places to eat locally as well. Be warned, most places were closed on Sundays, however.

We enjoyed a perfect getaway last week at the Blue Heron Guest House on the shores of Winona Lake. Kelly & Tony know exactly how to pamper guests from exquisite furnishings and plush beds to delicious breakfast and fresh coffee. The first floor suite is spacious and has a huge bathroom with two sinks, a large corner shower and a... More

This Italian-esque home placed on a peninsula of Winona Lake in Warsaw, Indiana has been my birthday get away for a number of years now. The host and hostess, not only treat guests like family, but go out of their way to make the stay memorable. The only reason I gave it a 4 for location is because it can... More

We went to the The Blue Heron for our wedding anniversary and stayed in the Empyrean Room. It was fantastic, very private, comfortable, spacious, and well decorated. Kelly and Tony were very accommodating and very knowledgable about the area. We followed their recommendations and we're not disappointed. The Cerulean Restaurant was exceptional, and Tony's boat taxi over and the ride... More

My best friend of 40+ years and I meet here every June for a relaxing and pampered "girls getaway". I can't say enough wonderful comments about Blue Heron, and the hosts, Kelly and Tony who have truly become friends. We "occupy" the second floor and enjoy hours on the spacious verandas, looking at the lake, watching the interesting birds and... More

My wife and I are in town for the weekend and thought we would try a bed and breakfast. Couldn't be happier with this B&B. The home sits on a small peninsula overlooking the lake and the view is spectacular. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds very comfortable. The owners Tony and Kelly attend to every detail and make... I just got home from my second stay at the guest house. The first time we stayed in the Empyrean suite (which was a little over-the-top for my wife and I -- everything looked gilded in gold), and this time we stayed in the Heron's Nest (which was also richly furnished but more comfortable to my wife and I, plus... “Any of the rooms would be wonderful. If two friends or two couples, the second floor has 2 rooms and a common (large) bathroom and is perfect for privacy.”

“We prefer the Heron's Nest or the Water's Edge suites -- upstairs you have your own coffee pot (with normal, unflavored coffee -- Kelly favors the flavored stuff in the pot downstairs), water cooler, and living room with a great couch for reading and a beautiful view. If we went in the winter, we would probably choose the Empyrean suite downstairs, because a jacuzzi in winter is a beautiful thing.”
