Very beautiful hotel that was built to look like an old world castle. Many nice paintings and old furniture in the lobby and halls to give you the feel you were in a French or German castle. The staff was great and never a problem the few times we were there. The property was sold to be updated, however as... More

We found a good deal online as we were traveling home through Iowa. It was for this property. It was a little hard to find the driveway entrance in the dark; but when we found it & drove up, we were pleasantly surprised. Then, when we got to our rooms & opened the doors, we all said, "Wow, this looks... More

I had fun and relaxed for one night. The hot Tub was amazing. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. The hotel looks like a scary house and got it's own touch of decoration but still amazing and cheap. Extra charge for breakfast. Wifi was good. Over all stay was amazing.

This hotel was great especially for the price. Rooms were clean and adequate. Doesn't look like much pulling in but once you're inside it is very cool. Old style decor and very quiet. Be sure to explore the whole place. A small snafu with reservations, I reserved 2 tower rooms but when we checked in there was only one available... More

I used to live in the area and this place was awesome. It had a very fine restaurant that the locals would support. It changed hands around 15 years ago, and they have let the maintenance slide. The restaurant was closed. My room needed wallpaper work. The TV was tiny and not a flatscreen. The building is still very neat... More

This was our second time staying here. We absolutely love the furnishings and the old German furniture. Our first stay, I took over 200 pictures. It is an old place and needs some updates, but I don't get why everyone is having a fit. The girl at the front desk was extremely nice and the gentleman was nice also when... More

My fiancé and in laws came to stay for a night. It was disgusting! When we were checking in we accidentally parked I guess where we were not suppose to and before we could even get out of the car a short older man came out yelling at us telling us how we could not park there. Got checked in... More

My husband and I looked forward to our stay at The Lodge, as we had stayed there almost 38 years agao, had been to several special occasions there, and had dined there multiple times in the past. The hotel is run down. There were few people staying there during vacation season. We understand that the hotel is due to have... More

The lack of street lights or a sign made it hard to find the place.Once I did find the dark entrance to the hotel my car was greeted by pot wholes that resembled craters. At the front desk I was greeted by two young ladies. One was very sweet and I believe she was being trained and the other was... More

We stayed here during the Quad Cities Air Show. Driveway is a little hard to find, as it's not marked very well. Once we pulled in I felt like we were pulling into the Tower of Terror at Disneyland. The place looks shady, and to top it off "Welcome to the Lodge Prom from Hell" was on the sign out... More
