We stayed here one night on our way out west. The GM, Barbara, checked us in and was very pleasant and professional. We were in room 303 at the end of the hall which was very quiet and provided a good nights rest. This particular Residence still did not transition over to the hot/cold breakfast service (like the one the night before) and only offered the bagged “grab and go” but the selections in the bag were nice.
Jacob at from desk was outstanding. Very polite and helpful. Small pool, but ample seating around it. Room was adequate for a family of five. I wish the bathroom area was not in the bedroom suite but I understand why given the primary visitors of this type of hotel.
We've been staying here for over two decades when in town to visit my husband's family. and found it pretty good up to two years ago. The quality has gone downhill even more. (See my previous review.) We learned that it is recently under new management, and it shows. And not in a good way. They do the Marriott name a disservice and no longer seem to care about their clients. Broken things were not replaced or fixed. One thing we have enjoyed is the hot breakfast that comes with, which it no longer does because of the pandemic. But when I suggested an alternative to the totally inadequate "morning grab bag," which is what they are now offering (as are many Marriott properties now - I understand the “no buffets” thing), such as a voucher to a nearby restaurant for all or some off the price, I was just looked at as if I had three heads - they were not even interested in keeping their clients happy. Staff is away from the desk a good share of the time. Coffee service is very limited, and I need my coffee! The TV service is woefully inadequate and the WiFi does not work very well. I regret to say that we will probably not be staying here again. A shame, as it is a great location.…
Checked in the room was 2 separate spaces, that was nice. The Direct TV worked for a little then quit, the in room phone didn't work at all. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were like hard bags of sand, did not sleep well and in the morning mt neck and back hurt. I will not stay at this property location again.
This place is going downhill from last year, The first clue is the broken concrete slabs in the parking lot, and the broken sidewalk loose pieces in front of the front door. Not a great site to see first thing. The door is not automatic and difficult to hold open first door, and then juggle rolling suitcases to try and get the second door open. Not a nice greeting from employee at front desk nor any thanks for membership and being loyal to the brand. Room was placed on third floor as far away as possible. Carpet dates the hotel. Room was not clean...white powder on bedside cabinet was still there 3 days later when we left. Entire property appears run down and in decline. Breakfast was standard Marriott fare. Nothing outstanding. Muffins were cold like they had been in freezer and not defrosted enough. There was supposed to be a 6pm Mixer with food and drink. No beer available. We were told they lost their liquor license, but they had a single bottles of red and white wine out, so do not know why no beer at the party. The ice bucket had 2 cans of pop and rest of space filled with bottles of water. There was no meat...just munchies like chips, pretzels, crackers, and cheese. Not much space to mix or sit in lobby area because they put the food and drink on the only large table in the space, and stacked the wooden chairs in the adjacent breakfast room area. Not a good idea.…
