Hotel's Favourite
Joyce was so friendly at check in. The lobby was very nice. The pool area is great for families - pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table - lots to do. The hotel was clean. It was a great location for shopping in Galena (12 min) and also visiting Dubuque downtown area and for Field of Dreams (30 min). Close to other shops (grocery, fast food ..) i would stay here again.

The room and hire are nice. I will never stay here again because I have ear buds in and still hear people at 9:30 pm at the pool therefore I can’t sleep. I’ve had a very long day and just want to sleep.

Great stay with children. Large inside pool with other items, ping pong tables opened till 10 at night. Very comfortable rooms. Very clean. Nice continental breakfast selection. Has a pizza restaurant attached. Easy access to highway. Close to 2 large Casinos on Mississippi River

The hotel is nicely located 2 miles from downtown area. Good basic hotel. Unfortunately, the staff are poorly trained and lack any sense of hospitality. The staff take no responsibility for all the miss information. There is no written information about the breakfast times or pool hours. When we missed breakfast, we notice coffee available in the lobby. However, no sugar nor cream or milk. Requesting a milk or creamer without flavor or sugar was so monumental the front desk supervising manager had to call her boss to see if it was OK to give us some milk. She said we had to "buy" the milk. Breakfast is included and this coffee service in lobby is complimentary.... just only option is flavor fake creamer. No one had cleaned this area or restocked the cups, lids or stir sticks. This is one if many examples of staff not attending to guest services. Housekeeping leave carts in the middle of hallways. Trash left in halls overnight. The staff are clueless. The beds are comfortable. The accessible room is spacious for the wheelchair ♿️. So sad they do not train the staff in customer service. …

Absolutely love this place, clean, updated amenities, restaurant, pool, best included breakfast I've had at ANY hotel! And the staff are great, very helpful! For business or just a little break from "every day" this place is TERRIFIC!! I thought as I saw several families enjoy the pool and jacuzzi, as well as the rest of the recreation area... This would be a great place, especially in the middle of winter (or the current supposed UNENDING WINTER) to take a mini VACAY!!

The front desk attendant was very nice and helpful. The room and hotel was very clean. The carpet could be updated throughout the hotel but overall it was a clean and great upkeep. The breakfast was not great would not recommend.

My 9yo daughter and I stayed for a little get away. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The old Chicago had great pizza and breakfast was plenty. It's an older hotel, but is clean and staff was friendly!
