I have stayed here four times in the past nine months since my daughter began her freshman year at U-Iowa. Daissy is a wonderful hostess and we now feel almost like family with her! She is so interesting to talk to with all her travels and life experiences... Her home is very beautiful and quaintly decorated with vintage furniture, bright...

I stopped here en route from Des Moines to Chicago, and I will likely do so again. This B&B is just a mile off the interstate highway, and it is a short drive or moderately long walk to numerous restaurants downtown. I especially enjoyed conversation with Daissy, as she grew up in Colombia and I had visited Colombia some years...

I had a most enjoyable stay at Daissey's house. This was my second time lodging at her home and I had a very nice time. Daissey is a wonderful hostess who is so interesting to talk with. She has traveled all over the world and has many photographs of her travels proudly displayed on her walls. Her home is very...

Pics do not do justice. VERY comfortable and price was great. I asked to pay extra and have 2 more breakfast guests. She charged very little and welcomed my daughters. Would def go back. Location makes walking downtown possible, if a little long. Must park on the street but we did not have any trouble.

The owner / hostess was a pleasure to get to know. This is a true home away from home! The rooms are clean, tidied up every day and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend A Bella Viista very highly and look forward to visiting another time.

We spent a long weekend in Iowa City and stayed at A Bella Vista. Very nice home, great location, good breakfast, but overall, the most interesting and wonderful B&B owner and hostess we have ever met at a B&B (Daissy Owen). We were treated like family. She truly enjoys meeting people, making sure they are taken care of, and her...

I'm sure that there are other lovely B&B's in Iowa City, but none of them has Daissy! Daissy Owen, the hostess of A Bella Vista, is a treasure! She is gracious, fun, and fascinating and has a wealth of knowledge about the city. The home itself is quiet, clean, and charming, filled with interesting photos and artifacts from Daissy's many...

We enjoyed our stay at A Bella Vista very much. The propieter, Daissy Prada Owen, was very flexible, arranging the B&B breakfast schedule around our own. Daissy was perfectly happy to serve us breakfast at mid-morning, and I was especially grateful for this because my daughter was ill and needed rest. I noticed as well that, each time we came...

Daissy Owen was a terrific hostess and made the visit especially enjoyable. Her international travels made for many interesting conversations. Rooms were very pleasant & roomy, quiet location, delicious meals. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a most welcoming experience. A Bella Vista is a home with character comfort and a gracious host who welcomed us into her home with tea on our arrival. We were able to park right outside the front door. We had a very spacious first floor room with a 4 poster bed that very comfortable and cozy. There was...
