I spent a very delightful day at the waterpark located at the Encore Resorts at Reunion. We rented the large cabana, very much enjoyed the water park and loved the very tasty food. Service was excellent. A shout out to Rafael, Alanis and Max at the front check-in desk to the water park (they took such good care of us) and to Julia and her partner (sorry, I forgot your name) who prepared drinks and gave us awesome food service during our entire stay. We had nineteen grandchildren plus adults. It says a lot that everyone, adults, children, all ages, had an AWESOME TIME. And, as a bonus, Jonathon (or John) from the management team took the time to speak with me. Fantastic Time! Thank you !!!

Our accommodation was fine, nice pool , rooms etc, however the location of our villa caused us great problems everyday. We were put on the East side of the complex away from the resort pools, gym, restaurant and reception. To get to them we had to cross what can only be described as a 4 lane extremely busy and fast motorway. As we had children with us, the resort reception were surprised at where we had been located and as you do not find out where that will be until arrival you cant sort it out beforehand. There were villas available on the west side and we had booked well over a year in advance so I don't know why we had been given such an undesirable location. We asked about swopping the next morning (after getting in on a late flight) and were told we could but would be charged a $340 cleaning fee!
The noise of this road is extremely loud and our pool literally backed on to it not to mention it disturbing our sleep.
I would suggest telling people where they will be staying upon booking as we saw two other families having the same issue when they arrived.
Its a shame as the resort and staff were really lovely. Just make sure you specify which side you want to stay on and avoid a dangerous stay.

Dirty dishes in cabinet, mold in blender - had to contact room service to replace , dishwasher leaking (leak was fixed) but dishwasher won't dry dishes, ripped furniture, and a broken bed - as of checkout maintenance still didn't fix it, we paid for pool heating and that did not work maintenance had to be called several times and each time they said they found a different issue and "it's fixed" 😕 was not fixed. The staff are friendly and are eager to help but management seem to not care and take care of things . The vilas are in a sad state of disregard and need a face lift (a good cleaning), towels provided in the house all had a bad smell (we had to wash them all before using) . Location is good , tv's worked , main pool area was perfect for our kids .

We stayed at the Encore Resort over March Break - Two families of 4 staying in a 5 Bedroom House. We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Check in was fast and easy. The house was very spacious and perfect for our needs. The couches and rugs were a bit worn, but we have small children, so this didn't both us any. Lots of space for the kids, everyone had their own bathrooms, nice living space and kitchen. We did not pay for the heated pool, but our pool hit sun all day, so it wasn't too bad and the kids didn't care that it was a bit chilly. Someone came to clean the pool multiple times throughout the week as well.
The only comment I would have is that there is a lack of kitchen supplies. We were hoping basics like salt and pepper would be provided for cooking. We also noticed there were no baking sheets, tongs, and a few other cooking essentials. We made do without them.
The grounds were always clean and staff was always friendly and helpful. We loved the pool, waterpark and slides!! Spent almost all of our time there. We also spent some time at the playground, splash pad, and basketball court. It was a walk away from the house and the kids enjoyed it. We also utilized the shuttle to Sea world one day and they were on-time, both directions and easy to book. We had to cancel last minute and it wasn't a problem to reschedule for our group.
Overall, we had an amazing trip and would definitely consider staying at Encore again.

Having stayed before a couple of times, this time was a huge letdown.
We really liked and rated the resort previously but something just felt off this time, like the place was in decline or the owners are looking to cut costs and keep the place barely ticking over.
No atmosphere around the place at all which is great if you want a quiet time around the pool or at the villa after a long day at the parks, but not comfortable if going to Finns for a meal or drinks in the evening. Its like being in a ghost town.
Some of the staff were great and couldnt do enough to help. Others barely give the time of day or openly argue or criticise colleagues which is pretty uncomfortable to be around.
Unfortunately, Finns restaurant had limited opening times, never for breakfast despite all the promotional materials saying it would be.
The food was average and overly expensive. At least one meal was ice cold in the middle (salmon) and gave the impression it was badly heated from frozen. Shocking as previously we always felt the food was great value and always felt fresh. Choice was limited with numerous options being unavailable for the majority of our stay.
The small grab and go shop is all but gone which is a big loss. It was really handy previously for essentials liike bread milk etc. The prices of the few goods on offer are crazy high.
Again it feels like a cost cutting exercise and has been replaced with a pretty poor coffee franchise with very limited offerings. This was unstaffed or closed more often than not.
The accomodation not well cleaned, we had to request a hoover to clean ourselves. Lots of hair (not from a head) gathered around toilets and in the corners of most bathrooms. Numerous occasions finding cockroaches in sinks and showers.
Matresses on the beds were badly stained.
Overall decor and furniture looked and felt well worn. Disappointing.
There were some issues with idiots racing cars with big bore exhausts up and down the roads late at night. Not a massive issue for us, but if you are planning a stay and have young children, they would have been woken and kept awake by this.
Security didn't really do anything. Again, its more a feeling that the same level of care and pride in the resort is not there anymore.
The transport to Disney parks has badly declined also. Now the transport visits 2 other hotel locations before getting to the parks, adding a good 20-30 minutes to the journey in good traffic, which is extremely rare. Not great for those wanting to arrive early or with times secured in the virtual queues for rides such as Tron or Guardians of the Galaxy.
As the title says, it was disappointing to see how far this venue has fallen. It is billed and priced as a premium quality resort but delivers a mid-range quality service. Its like paying for a top top disney hotel room and getting a days inn room. There is nothing wrong with it, (Days Inn would be probably than our villa was when we first arrived) it's just a lot less than you expect for the cost.
I don't think we would book to stay here again after this experience.

The houses are very nice and while individually owned there are serviced and maintained by the resort. So any issued with your accommodation are looked after by this team, we had issues with air con and lights which needed to be fixed and were attended to the following day. There are also services which will pop in and clean the pool, mow the lawn etc. so be aware this will happen at various times! When we booked we were advised access to the water park was included however this is no longer the case and no access was given. Thankfully the pool at house was nice and clean and enough for us. The location is also advertised as not requiring a car, as they do provide park access via shuttle however apart from the club house there is no food or shops available on site. You will need a car to get to the closest supermarket or pharmacy or parks and activities not covered by the shuttle such as Discovery Cove or Kennedy. Overall lovely house and a wonderful holiday.

We had a terrible experience at this condominium! The beds at 7449 Marker Street are awful! It was impossible to have a good night's sleep and rest!!! Additionally, the condominium charges a $500 cleaning fee and no one ever showed up to clean anything there! This fee is extremely abusive! I do not recommend it to anyone and will not stay here with my family anymore!

Complete disaster! Incredibly dangerous!!! My 8 year old was using the smaller slides, no lifeguard on duty, just a guest sitting in life guard chair pretending.
Full of entitled, spoilt, privileged kids with no care or respect. Lots of their parents were just as bad, pushing in cues and not supervising.
My daughter went on single user ride and kids came behind her before she could get out of the bottom of ridge. Crashing into her and hurting her back.
Then kids going 3 at a time, breaking the rules on the sign.
My wife then went to watch. She told our daughter to wait as there was a toddler unsupervised walking up the slide. The kids behind her where telling my daughter to go regardless. When she didn’t the kid started to kick her back.
We informed lifeguards and reception who said life guard was on lunch and others life guards on other slides. I said what a terrible excuse for when a kids breaks there back. The life guards are mainly teenagers and don’t do much.
They went and looked at ride, didn’t stop the kids then went back and just stood talking to other life guard. The carnage continued!!
It says kids under 6 should be supervised but instead their parents were sun bathing or eating at bar. Not watching.
I then went on bigger yellow slide. The slide at bottom has sand paper finish for when you stand up. However this took the skin off the top of my feet when I went down slide. I was bleeding from both feet. No wonder they make you sign a disclaimer.

We really enjoyed our stay. We asked for a four bedroom house and ended up with a 5 bedroom home so that was a huge plus. My girls were happy to get their own rooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool in our backyard. We stayed in March so we did have to pay to have the pool heated or it was really cold. We only paid for the days we knew we'd be using the pool though. The kitchen cooking items were limited, but it was everything that we needed for all our meals so that wasn't an issue. My girls loved the water park. We went later in the afternoon so we didn't hit the large line when it opened at 11:00. They provide pool towels at the water park, but not at the house so bring your own if you plan to swim at your own pool. On a few days the internet kept going in and out, but they came a fixed it right away. There was a large stain on the master bedroom floor that we asked to have cleaned that was never taken care of, but honestly that is my only complaint. The rest of the house was really clean. The staff we interacted with were all very nice and accommodating and the neighborhood was quiet. I would stay here again!

We (4 adults and two children) stayed at 7560 Marker Avenue, a 5 bedroomed property in February. We had a lovely time. The villa was beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed over the road from the main site which we were a bit concerned about at first after reading previous reviews but it ended up being fine for us. There was a crossing point for the busy road which we used to get to the main site we’re to pool was.
A couple of problems we did have with the resort was information given out and on their website. There was information in our villa (which may have been the management company’s fault) and on the website which was out of date. Two examples of this were that it said in the website that you could hire a stroller for $10 which is not correct and we were also given a breakfast menu for the on-site restaurant but when we enquired about this we were told they didn’t serve breakfast. Any information you get from their website or in the villa I would certainly double check before you make plans! We used the free shuttle bus to magic kingdom and universal which worked out relatively well. I would just be aware that it may be calling at several other resorts and parks before you get to your destination.
The main problem we had were with Jeeves, the management company who look after the villa we stayed in. On arrival to the resort, we went straight to reception as we hadn’t been given any other details. The very helpful receptionist informed us that we should have been given our villa number and access code by Jeeves before we arrived which didn’t happen. She called them and got this information for us and we were on our way. We were delighted with our villa on arrival. We had a problem in that we had requested a stair gate on one of the bedroom doors before we left the UK as our youngest is autistic and doesn’t sleep through the night he tends to go wondering. Whenever we stay away we request this as we know it is not a standard item and therefore make alternative arrangements if this is going to be a problem. Virgin informed us that this was not a problem, they would speak to the management company and it would be installed on our arrival. When we arrived there was no baby gate. We called Jeeves and they helpfully told us it wasn’t something they could do and therefore not their problem. We contacted Virgin and they dealt with this quickly, providing us with $70 to go and buy a baby gate which is what we did. When we wanted to hire a stroller from Jeeves we saw in the information pack provided by them in the villa that we could do this for $40, however, when we phoned up to do this, we were told it would be $52 dollars and they denied all knowledge of the $40 quoted in their information. We decided to hire the pushchair and stressed several times that we needed it that day as we were going to a park early the next morning and they said they would get it too us that evening. Unfortunately it didn’t turn up and when we returned from the park the next day it was sat on our doorstep. We called to tell them it was no longer needed and they issued a refund and picked it up. The heating for the pool is very expensive. You can only hear for consecutive days. We found when we first arrived the pool wasn’t too cold (assume the previous guests had it heated) but as the week progressed, it was too cold. We paid for it for the last couple of days and it was well worth it.
We would definitely return to this resort in the future, especially this beautiful villa

The pool heating may not be necessary come the end of July, that being said, many factors come in to consideration with pool heat (e.g. location, sun exposure, etc.) but end of July I would save the cash and use it somewhere else. Also, there Walmart literary across the street and a target 5 mins away. If you looking to save money go grab the groceries yourself. If you are good with paying the fee, I they both offer delivery services. Hopefully, this helps. Enjoy your trip!!
