Village West was a bit run down. The beds were comfy.and that was all that really mattered. The shower was really low, I am 5'4" and it hit me in the tummy my husband is 6'2" so didn't work for him well at all. Long walk to the docks but nice walk. For a long weekend it surged its purpose... More

Just returned home from a girls' weekend, what a fun place! Large and laid back resort with lots to do! Room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. We would've liked the shops/restaurants to stay open later. Also, no wifi in the rooms, which actually turns out to be a blessing. Will definitely revisit, next time with my kid in... More

This time of year the resort was very quiet. The whole staff was very nice and helpful. The facilities, although old, were very well kept. It was a very nice stay. If you wish to fish take your own boat. The rentals can be very expensive.

Very outdated, staff were zombies, with only a few that even talked. Not sure where all the money is going, but apparently not back into the resort. I'm sure the area is buzzing during the summer season, great location but they are missing a great opportunity to shine. Very unfortunate

We stay at Village West every year. While the facilities and grounds could use some improvement, when we go there, it is to spend time with family, read books, and just relax. If they'd bring in some new sand to the beach so it isn't hard/dirt, and some new beach chairs, that would make the trip SO much better. We... More

Old, crumbling, outdated, falling apart mess. This place looks like it was built in the 70's or 80's and hasn't been touched since. The rooms...dark green carpet, crappy mattresses, old, dated bedding, pilled up sheets. Veneer furniture. Just a hot mess. I can only comment on the room, as we were in Boji for 4th of July with family who... More

We booked one night in the hotel through hotwire.com. It was rated 4.5 stars. I think we paid $98.00. They put us in the separate building across from the Village West Hotel. We were literally the ONLY people in the whole building, but after staying, we think we know why. The mattresses are the LOWEST QUALITY, most UNCOMFORTABLE beds EVER.... More

While children seemed to enjoy the little beach and game room, there was little to do for an older teen or adult. The marina boat rentals were very expensive, so not much boating done. The resort restaurant was closed. There were no fun scheduled activities, crafts or poker/blackjack/bingo. The room, while old fashioned, was clean, comfortable and well equipped kitchen... More

What used to be a great resort 30 years ago looks like it was not touched since. As a safety professional I look for basic safety items in the accommodations I stay at. For example the elevator inspection was a year overdue. The fire extinguisher inspection tags were blank, bare wires hanging from open junction boxes in the overhang. The... More

I have stayed here multiple times as a 'Guest' and not an owner (I would never own here due to high maint. fees). The rates that I have received via online or various vacation clubs is very good; usually $200-300 for a full week in a 1 bedroom condo. The amenities are rather old but still exist. There are two...
