We found from talking to other visitors that we were not the only ones who were surprised by how far the bed and breakfast was from Amherst. The extra 25 km from town wasn't an issue once we knew where we were and it got us much closer to some great little restaurants! The current host took over the operation...

Brian and Shelly greeted us like family and everything they did focused on us being satisfied. The bedroom, the common room and the dinning room were all comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean and relaxing. The breakfast... Wow... We wanted to take Shelly with us, she really knows how to make a full, complete and delicious breakfast. WARNING.... You...

I booked the 'Grey Room' at Stuart House as part of a bike tour I was doing. I was there for a night. The room was great! The bed was comfortable --not too firm, not too soft. The house was big with a big TV in the common area. The beach is a short walk away from the front door....

A very nice place to stay and the only reason I'm not giving 5stars is because it is missing some of the high end amenities. Our room had a private bath but the other 3 rooms shared a bath. There is a common area that has the TV. Plus there is no A/C and it was a hot and humid...

We stayed at the Stuart House on our way to and from Cape Breton. Brian and Shelly made us feel right at home. Rooms were spotless, beds comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic, even had fresh cinnamon buns. Humming birds outside the dining area a plus. Don't think twice, a great deal and a great stay!

My spouse and I (Lucie and Dan) stayed at the Stuart House B&B on Friday and Saturday September 27 and 28th 2013. What a stay! Brian greeted us outside as we arrived. Brian and Shelly are fantastic host. We stayed in the Lady Grey room. The room was perfect for us. Very comfortable and cosy. We relaxed with the other...

We stayed at stuart house bed & breakfast last year and we had an amazing stay! We stayed 2 weeks in total, and those weeks we felt completely at home. The lady had the best bakeryskills i've ever experienced in my life. Lucky for me she wrote down all the recepies for me! The breakfast was delicious and they were...

This was a very comfortable B&B. We were 2 couples - our room was small but the other room was large. We got there late at night as we had driven down from Quebec City. Although the address says Amherst it is actually outside of the town. Shelly, the innkeeper, made us feel right at home and stayed and talked...

A great spot on the East Coast of Nova Scotia. Brian met us and showed us in and around the property. Our room had a comfortable Queen bed with adjoining 3 piece bathroom and a pullout sofa. A small sitting area with TV for all guests to enjoy and chat with one another. Shelley took the opportunity to visit with...
