Have to agree with the majority of comments posted on this site about the Samburu Simba Lodge! Having travelled from Nairobi (great journey - barter big time!) this Lodge was the first on our Virgin Holidays itinerary. The service was faultless. We especially loved having our own table for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Purity, our waitress, couldn't do enough...

We stayed at this lodge on the second night of our Masai explorer safari with Virgin holidays (the first night being spent in Nairobi). The journey there is long but very interesting as Samburu is located north of Narobi and is considerably les 'touristy' than the other reserves. On that note, do be cautious with the locals particularly if you...

I stayed here with my husband and my parents as part of a Virgin Holidays safari. It was a first visit to Kenya for all of us and we were a little apprehensive about the standard of accomodation and we didn't really know what to expect. However, when we arrived we were delighted with the lodge. The drive to the...

The Samburu Simba Lodge was a wonderful place to stay for our safari. It was very clean throughout and the rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a great shower with plenty of hot water. this was so nice after staying at some places with marginal showers. The view out our balcony to the river was spectacular...

We just got back from Kenya. Stayed for two nights at The lodge and had a great time. The whole place was spotless through out. Although very quiet and choice of food was limited we where treated so well we felt like we where leaving freinds behind when we left. Martha our waiteress was great. The bar staff know how...

This resort is a gem in the Samburu National Reserve. The service is world-class and the food outstanding and excellently prepared by the Chef. Joseph was our server at every meal for our two-day stay. In that short time he learned our preferences, names, and always had a pleasantry ready for the start of our meal. He represented Simba Lodge...

I stayed at Samburu Simba Lodge from December 23 to December 25 2011 with my husband and 7-year old daughter. At first everything seemed good. The room was nice and the food was OK. We were the only guests the first night which we did not think so much about at the moment. It would show that we should have...

We stayed at the lodge on our first 2 nights of our 11 night safari in Kenya during Dec. We were welcomed by cool towels and cool drinks and quickly shown to our lovely, spacious rooms overlooking the park. Immediately an elephant ambled by. The lodge seemed very quiet during our stay (only one other family). They assured us it...
