Excellent service. The Suite was spacious and very clean with a splendid view of the lake. Food was excellent with several options. Le Manoir offers free activities on site including a ponton ride. Strongly recommend for a romantic gateway.
We were a family of 4, (2+2) and this was our first time as a family to go to a winter resort for spring break. While doing a bit of research on the net , I fell on this gem located in the middle of nowhere. And WOW we were not disappointed, we had an amazing time, lots of activities, great food, and the staff what could i say exceptional! We took the partial lake view suites, very spacious, TV with cable and a DVD player (they lent out movies at the reception for free) , coffee maker, small fridge, we had 1 queen bed and a mural bed that you pull down, the bathroom was big with a jacuzzi and bath robes incl. , the room also had a safe and ironing board, a nice balcony with a great view...bottom line the suit was excellent!! no microwave :( Our package included breakfast and supper, they brought breakfast anywhere between 8am-9am and supper.. the entrees and kids meal were between 6pm-7pm and the main courses came between 7pm-8pm , you don't choose the time they show up during those times, so be prepared if you have a habit of eating early . The choices were good, the quality and taste were fantastic, was impressed ! This hotel also had activities included, anywhere from ice skating on the lake , rackets in the forest , fat bikes , ice fishing , flying kites on the lake, they had an indoor rally for the kids to do and an outdoor one also on the trail. And the HUGE PLUS about this place is that they have the equipment to lend you …its included in your stay, so for a family like ours that has nothing was huge plus. Indoor pool (closed during our stay... covid) they have a spa and a small gym, outdoor jacuzzi's closed...so can't comment on any of the above did not use them. The only place for improvement is the reception, and i explain why, the staff was amazing but sometimes were overwhelmed, because they were taking care of the calls, the reservations, giving out the equipment for the activities, during peak hours 1 person wasn't enough, so couple of times we had to wait a bit longer then usual. This place was clean, we always felt safe, the staff was amazing, very professional and always smiling and willing to help. It was beyond our expectations, had a blast and will definitely return in the future. regards stud let me know if this review was helpful .…
Had the deluxe suite, large, extremely clean, well appointed and beautiful but only partial view of the lake, and balcony located right over hotel entrance which was less intimate than expected. We now know to reserve in the "500s" section next time to have view on the lake and nordic spa hot tubs which we truly enjoyed! : ) The place is really a gastronomic destination. We were suitably impressed with the quality and creativity of the cuisine and with the service. Staff is really nice, having to deal with Covid restrictions and we truly appreciate their upbeat demeanor and their kindness. We are looking forward to come back!
Just got back from a 2 Day gateway at Auberge du Lac William. In general it OK as a hotel very small Auberge spas is small and inside pool as is small but nice. Unfortunately for the price the rooms are very ordinary and somewhat outdated. On the positive side the food is very good if you are looking for something different this restaurant has a great menu. Nice lake to paddle boots in. But again for the price I seen better places with more accommodaties.
This is a quiet place on the shore line of Lac William, 1 by 7 miles. You have pool inside and outside, spa nordique (hot and beside a cool pool). Food is excellent either à la carte or a 4 services. On an all included, room for 2, dinner 4 servings, breakfast. Kayak, canoe and paddle boat. A pontoon for a ride on the lake. And all that for less than 400$ taxes and services included. You also have massage, facial or body type.
We were treated like royalty, from the reception through to the wonderful attention to detail awaiting us in our room as well as dinner time. Despite the weather and the more than four hours due to the two plus hours of bumper to bumper traffic to get there, it was all soon forgotten with the calming ambiance of the spa. We will definitely return, perhaps with family and friends to have them share in the wonderful experience and hopefully in better weather conditions to fully explore the grounds.
The staff was very pleasant, helpful and engaging. They were patient with my so so French and did a great job in translating for us. The best aspect of this inn is the spa elements. There is a beautiful indoor pool, a few outdoor hot tubs, a freezing cold tub to submerge yourself after the hot tub and a sauna. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were excellent. They're not quite sure about cocktails but they do have a full bar. Also plenty of wine. The room was basic but clean and adequate. If you want a lake view it will cost significantly more but could be worth it to you especially if you're staying a while. Robes and towels are provided.
I have read and heard great things about the Manoir and finally made it there. We spent our 1st night and last night here on a snowmobile tour through this region of Canada (see my other reviews). Very pleased with my accommodations and meals. Rooms where very clean and large. Our dinner and breakfast was outstanding! We had a Fantasia dinner our last night as we left very early before they opened for breakfast. I would like to take my wife back to enjoy all the amenities they have to offer.
Amazing weekend of relaxation at a top rated Hotel/Spa!!! It was a special weekend for my wife's 50th birthday where we enjoyed the Global Detente Spa package, with 5 course meal, brunch, etc. Everything was A+++, and the hotel staff and spa experts were amazing. Suite with jacuzzi and with a view on the lake and balcony. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend and most importantly my wife rates it has one of the best Spa weekend we have ever taken. Thank you to everybody at the Manoir du Lac William for making this an amazing weekend. Definitely a recommended place for any couple wanting a A+ weekend!!!!
We had a Superior room which was located in the main part of the Resort. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious but some of the furniture outdated. There was a balcony facing Lac William and the parking lot of the resort. We had the Dinner and Breakfast package. Enjoyed the variety of choices included for the Dinner and the food was very good. Breakfast was outstanding, great selection of fresh fruit, cheeses, breads and croissants. There were also a selection of hot items that included excellent crepes. If we visit this resort again we would opt for the suites in the new section.
