For 6 nights, we enjoyed this gorgeous slice of heaven. In too many ways to mention, this lovely "Tree House" was the perfect place from which to enjoy this special part of your country. But a few points we would like to highlight: an architecturally stylish and structurally sound house (confidently holding up to the 7.5 earthquake that shook and...

Thanks for the feedback. The kids are welcome to play anywhere in the 20 acres of land we own; to see the cows and sheep, or play in the orchard, or lawns around The Barn or The Hut. The are also welcome to explore the mature bush on our land. We provide some board games, books and magazines for your...

This must be one of the best places to stay if not the best in the National Park area. The setting, the views, the accommodation...it was all wonderful. We stayed at the "Barn". So much thought has gone into the design and decor which we throughly appreciated and enjoyed. The owners are great people and we would highly recommend anybody...

We stayed in the hut for three nights and it was very comfortable indeed. Everything needed to self cater was supplied. The view through the big picture window, when the clouds lifted, was simply stunning. And even if you couldn't see the volcanoes there were plenty of little birds flitting around to give you something look at at breakfast. The...

Thanks for the feedback. We are waiting for the government to roll out ultra fast broadband to our area, so in the meantime we are stuck with normal old broadband through copper wires!

We stayed in the Tree House for 2 nights. We were blown away by the design, comfort and the location. The views in every direction were framed by huge walls of glass and snug seating areas. The panorama from the deck was stunning. We loved the off grid self sufficient ethos and yet we still had everything we needed for...

Beautiful place with fabulous innkeeper Tim. If you are planning Tongariro crossing stay here for two nights at least and plan to stay an extra day to enjoy the deck and the stars! Very private. There are a few dozen sturdy steps to front door. Great washing machine and drying line. The windows are perfectly positioned to see Mt ruapehu.

We had the pleasure of staying in the Barn, a converted farm barn, and it was fabulous. It comfortably sleeps 8 but will cater for 11 people. It's rustic but oh so comfortable. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed to make your stay a pleasure. Linen is supplied and the beds, and all bedding, are comfortable. The down side is...

Had an amazing 5 day stay at the hut! Was told this is longer than usual! But not long enough for us. The views when the weather is good are amazing. We were made very welcome and would throughly recommend. It is within very easy reach of everything to do with the national park.

“The Hut is fantastic, and Tim was kind enough to show us the Tree House, which looked amazing for a larger party. I'm certain that the Barn would be equally fabulous. If we didn't live in the UK we'd be back time and again!”

“The Barn is for 8 to 11 persons. But they also have accommodations for smaller groups. There is the Tree House for 6 persons, and The Hut for couples. They are all spread out in the farm so each accommodation has its own privacy.”
