The Sunflower Motel is a unique Mom & Pop motel where Midwest charm and hospitality are on display everyday. I ended up spending a month there and the people were the absolute BEST. The room was warm and cozy, quaint and nicely decorated. It's close to restaurants and the major highways. If you are ever in the area and need and...

I felt like I was at Grandma's house in a good way. Accomodations were clean (even the carpet and bathroom), very comfortable bed/pillows, all the necessary conveniences (microwave, fridge, flatscreen TV, table/desk, good lighting) and friendly staff. Don't let the exterior which could use a little TLC deter you. Good value for the price. Ask about eating spots where you...

My Grandchildren and I stayed at this motel. We found it clean and decorated very nicely. Our room had 2 beds with good linen. There was a microwave and refrigerator. The t.v. was a 40" flat screen. Nice. Thanks to the owners.

Stayed here for 4 days while visiting my MIL's daughter in Highland. This is an older facility which has seen better days, but is getting updated over the last 8 years by the owners, Mary and Mike. On the main road coming into Hiawatha from the west, 26-28 units. Office is smaller than a bathroom, if someone comes in behind...

Over the last 2 years I have traveled from WI to KS several times a year to see my elderly father. I have stayed here many times and although it's not a four star motel you can't find anything that compares. Mary considered me a regular and would go out of her way to get me a good room even...

Older Motel, but it certainly has everything I needed. Wi-Fi in room, fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Very comfortable and about 1/2 the price of other places. Within easy walking of several restaurants and a bar. Not as cookie cutter as Best Western. I'd certainly stay again.

I have never stayed in a motel so warm and inviting in my life. When you walk in the rooms you feel as though you have stepped into the guest room of a relative. The staff have definitely gone out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. Not only is it the most awesome motel in the...

From calling to make a reservation to actually staying in the Sunflower Motel was an awesome experience. We were there on a business trip. The room was just like home. Everything was beautifully decorated and convenient in use. Everything was very clean. We even loved the name, Sunflower Motel because of sunflowers and the meaning behind them. The owners were very...

The Sunflower Motel was a pleasant experience. Very clean and close to everything you may need. Mary is very sweet and willing to accommodate with anything she can. Average night stay is about $60. Pets are welcome for an additional $10 pet fee. I will stay here again.

My husband checked in and when the front desk lady found he has some mobility issues she offered to help him with carrying in his luggage. Room is spotless, there is an individual coffee maker in the room, well-supplied, and nice decor with pictures on the walls and flower arrangements. Helpful tips from staff about the weather, also. Hot water,...
