The room was noisy, rm 310. We heard the elevator all night, the door did not close very tight so light was spilling in, not very condusive to sleeplng. The air conditioner was noisy and kept cycling on and off. The only good thing was the location.

My mother, four sisters and I stayed here for a weekend. We had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very spacious--a large living room for each suite with sofa, upholstered chairs, plus a table and chairs. The beds were in a separate room. Linens were luxurious, mattress very comfortable. Large, well-lit bathroom with separate room for shower and toilet. We...

We are long time customers of the Eldridge as well as its bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, on this visit to watch a KU road game in the Jayhawker bar and to celebrate our anniversary, it was not up to its usual standards. First, when we went up to our premier king room, some of the furniture was missing! After being...

First and foremost, we at The Eldridge would like to apologize to your overall experience. We do pride ourselves in offering gracious hospitality and make it our top priority to recover when something has gone wrong. We are working on improving the sound in the Jayhawker bar and hope to get all of the TVs linked through our speakers. As...

The interior of the hotel was very pleasant. The room was excellent. The service was good. But the main criticism is the lack of signposting when we arrived. We were driving down Massachusetts Street in the dark and the hotel was on the right. We could see there was a front entrance, with nowhere to park outside. We drove around...

I've stayed at the Eldridge a few times before. I love it's history and character. Especially the lobby and friendly staff, who are always smiling. The best rooms in my opinion are the grand corner king rooms. They have views of both Mass.and 7th streets. The only drawback is sometimes the noise from the street below can be annoying. All...

I stayed here for work. I checked in and was told that I was upgraded to the "Extended" Hotel. Come to find out my room was almost a two-block walk from the "main hotel." They will tell you it's a block, but it's long and feels like two. The "Extended" is new and beautiful, but as a woman traveling alone...

Hotel is beautiful. Staff is super friendly. Food at restaurant was surprisingly reasonably priced and delicious. Loved the white noise machine, large tv's, bed comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaned better but other than that no complaints.

I loved my one night stay at the Eldridge Hotel. It has a perfect location, right in the middle of the Lawrence, Kansas commercial district. Bookstores, restaurants, coffee shops, and everything else you would expect to find in a college town are within walking distance of the hotel lobby. My suite consisted of a bedroom, a sitting room and a...

Nice historic hotel on Lawrence's main street. Legends abound. Even stayed in the notorious Room 506 where Colonel Eldridge's ghost is said to hover. But no sighting unfortunately. Just a restful night, friendly staff, and a good breakfast.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and makes you feel comfortable. It reminds me of the classy hotels of years ago. There are many cafes and shopping boutiques within easy walking distance. The view of the downtown area is the best. If you want comfort with class stay at the Eldridge.

Thank Allen S
