Made a special trip to have lunch on a Monday after returning from a weekend Car Rally to find that the Pub didn't open till 3:00pm although It is advertised as open 7 days and one would expect that would include lunchtime. A pity as I had advised our our group that the fare was excellent having sampled on prior...

My husband, Mike and I took a Sunday drive to Collector to enjoy lunch at the Bushranger Hotel, Collector. I ordered a beef hamburger and Mike decided on the lamb cutlets. He was initially hesitant when they were served as often the meat to scant and the fat generous. Not on these lamb cutlets. Mike kept murmuring that these were...

Lots of history, needs a good clean and some general attention $3.50 for glass of half flat soda water was a bit rich. $15.00 for steak sandwich, with chips, service was slow and steak was a bit tough but was a pretty good old fashion Aussie steak sandwich

Rescued from extinction by a local for the locals, we found this place friendly and a good venue for a group of 10. Lovely roaring fire and a pool table. Great pizzas and pies. New bathrooms for guests, one for ladies and one for gents. Lots of steps so no good if you cant do steps. The landlord is friendly...

So disappointed to find that noone lives on the premises and to find it so dirty. The ladies bathroom was filthy and no toilet paper. The whole hotel requires cleaning thoroughly. The staff were delightful, very helpful and the dinner was amazing. Hope it has improved somewhat next year.

Stopped here for a beer and a break with family. This place oozes history and you feel like you are stepping back in time. The pub is full of charm and a walk around the various rooms has you constantly checking out the furniture, decorations and many news clippings on the walls from way back. While you're here, it's worth...

Thanks for the 'hospitality !!! Food very good and staff very welcoming ... Quiet place where drink a beer with friends and stay warm by the fire, even the beautiful pool hall where to give friendship with some great people. Advise other people to stop!!!!

I had the best steak sandwich and chips during a recent ride on the back roads with a group of hungry riders. Good service, great food and a bit of history, large outdoor area with plenty of room for groups, relaxed atmosphere. Get off the highway and pay a visit. Just need a coffee machine for the caffeine addicts.

I would recommend to take a detour to Collector just to check out this hotel as well as the weird artwork nearby of the Dreamers Gate - really cool history about bush rangers shooting and killing the constable of the town, Bushranger Hotel is said to be haunted, we only wanted to stop by for a toilet break but ended...

We ended up here by pure accident, driving from Canberra to Newcastle, how lucky were we! Great character with history, fantastic service and awesome food, even the token black cat to enhance the speculation of hauntedness lol. THANK YOU!!
