We have been here before and when we arrived we knew immediately we were back at a very good hotel run by the same family for many years. The whole hamlet is just one beautiful hotel . As we turned off the main road onto the 1.5km private white road to the hotel a wild deer ran across in front...

Tenuta di Ricavo is one of my favorites, the staff are very helpful. Cristina is very helpful she even lent me the reception's map that shows the chianti classico region. Maria is very warm and always have a smile on her face. The room is clean. The place is a heaven! Very peaceful. You will waken up by the birds...

We had a wonderful room on the first floor in the main house. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served in a patio garden area. We relaxed by the approx 10m pool and used the gym (inspired by the Olympics). There is a 1.5 km dirt track from the main road to the hotel and plenty of parking space. We ate...

The hotel is located 1 kilometer from the main road running from Castel in Villa toward Siena, and about 10 kilometers east of the highway from Siena to the autostrada and Florence. The last 1 kilometer takes you through woods to a deadend at the borgo (farm houses) courtyard. There you will find several buildings (including a small chapel) built...

We found TD Ricavo because of Tripadvisor. We stayed for 3 nights, with a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage kids) and here are our thoughts: The PROS: TDR is easy to locate in a car with google maps. The road to the property is, in fact, a dirt road but is short in length and simple to...

My family just returned from this fabulous, special hotel. We were traveling as three adult couples (my husband and I, and our two children and their partners). We stayed for one week. The rooms - Our children each had a Superior Double and we had a Junior Suite (126). All of them were wonderful. Our Suite had a lovely sitting...

We`ve decided to visit Tuskany and stay somewhere between Florence and Siena. This is how we found Tenuta di Ricavo. You should know this is a place for people, travelling by car, but if you choose it, you will find a small jewel hidden between wineyards and woods. The history of the place is very old. We bought a book...
