Lovely “walkabout town,” Arts and Crafts Capital with historic Berea College, a lovely major part of the city. Stayed our 2nd time at Historic Boone Tavern, so charming, and now 109 years young. It is a LEED Gold Certified Green Hotel, but still with all the charm of a precious

It was inspiring to learn about the history of Berea College while staying at this historic hotel. Shopping for beautiful, traditional Southern handcrafts at the nearby shops was a delight. Then, on to a feast in the beautiful hotel dining room. This is a place that is not to be

Excellent stay in a lovely "Period" hotel in Berea, Kentucky! Great dining and the Town of Berea offers a lot of areas for exploring. Red River Gorge is close-by, a great experience, and really quite beautiful.

My wife and I took a very special friend to lunch at Boone Tavern last week. It was a very cold day but the staff’s welcome was very warm and inviting. Arriving without reservations, we were still seated at a wonderful location looking out the windows at Berea’s Square. The

This was great fun for my daughter and I. This event does attract an older crowd but there were a few family groups there as well. The scones are delicious along with the famous Spoon Bread. This a once a year event

This is a historic hotel. I would highly recommend that you call the hotel directly to see if they can accommodate that request. Better to go to the source than rely on "someone." Many rooms are different configurations.

That is an excellent question and my gut feeling is that they would not be amiable to having children stay. As a matter of fact, I didn't see one child while I was there. Honestly, I don't think kids would like it there anyway because it is very old school "lodging". Mostly older adults (for me that was great). It is a lovely inn and I will return but I don't think little ones would enjoy it. Having said that - older, young adults would probably like it for it's historical atmosphere and learn from it.

"AARP rates are super!"
"Our room with two beds had two QUEEN size beds which is nice."
"Ask for room that face the front of the hotel for best view. Rooms that look over the back parking lot do not have great view."
"Avoid the street side rooms - loud pickup trucks are plentiful."
