A beautiful hotel......elegant and comfortable.....the staff can not do enough to help and many are students at Berea College. The restaurant is divine-well trained staff, the BEST iced tea, wonderful spoon bread and the staff is well versed in gluten free for those needing it. The brunch is a must do!!

Our group of 4 couples really enjoyed not only the friendly and very accommodating staff but also the cleanliness of each of our rooms. Though this is a historic hotel, the rooms have been updated, the common areas beautiful and decorated with period appropriate decor, and were quite comfortable in all ways. The free coffee in the lobby in the... More

From the moment you enter the little town it is just delightful and the hotel is charming. The staff which are students at the college are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We also enjoyed the restaurant which had a great selection, with some southern favorites. This is a gem of a little town.

Enroute to Tennessee, stopped for overnight in Berea, Kentucky and stayed at the Boone Hotel & Tavern. Had always wanted to see and stay there and was NOT disappointed. The Hotel is excellent, quaint and very historic. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and it was beautiful. Next morning ate breakfast in their dining room and AGAIN was NOT... More

As a tour group of seniors we stopped for lunch. The service was impeccable and the hotel itself extremely impressive. Everyone enjoyed their food I just happened to have picked the one bad menu choice.

This is not the first time I am reviewing this hotel (tavern), but I just had to say a little more about it. We were not planning on visiting Berea , but when I got the "loyalty special", I convinced my husband we could not pass it up. Turns out the special was $99 per night, Sunday thru Thursday, and... We had heard about this hotel from friends, and decided to make the four drive to check it out. When we pulled up, a bellman came out to greet us in the most friendly, southern hospitality style. Everyone there from the bellman to the desk staff to the dining room host, were the nicest people we have ever met. (... More

Spent two nights, ate at tavern and met students that help run this great place in KY. Best hotel for everything including the Spirit of Education and learning permeates the entire experience here!! Can't say this about any other hotel I ever visited and that's alot of hotels and resorts as a travel and food writer!!

Arrived about 130 am in the morning from Atlanta. The hotel restaurant was closed. The night audit when into the kitchen and made me a turkey sandwich and gave me some chips for dinner. My stay was amazing and I would recommend you stay at this location. Food was great very close to major city and several golf courses

This historic hotel was so beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The front desk hotel staff were efficient and friendly and the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. The AC in the room was hard to regulate. It took us a while to get the room the temperature we wanted but we finally figured out the... More
