The loudest issue was/is the trucks rocking by at ALL hours with a couple of trains for good measure. Comfy bed but only Q size maybe Double No shower mixer and a curtain to keep the water in Tiny TV for older eyes But 300 meters away the Farriers Arms where a throwback to the 70's is great fun and...

We stayed at the Tukituki motel last weekend. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. We had a second floor studio with a balcony. Very roomy for a studio. From the balcony we could see the Ruahine ranges with coat of snow. A very covenient place to stay and we walked to the supermarket and could walk to town. One...

Super friendly hosts in small town motel make for thoroughly enjoyable stay. Both hosts brimmed with helpful advice and assistance. Well stocked unit, although small bathroom. Rooms were clean and tidy. Had to pay an extra $50 for a late checkout +2 hours.

Motels in NZ are often under rated. But unlike overseas versions, they offer good cooking facilities, space and comfort. The Tukituki Motel is a classic. This is a spacious motel in the middle of Waipukurau. You can walk to the nearby shops in 5 minutes where you can buy anything from groceries to nick knacks. The good thing about this...

We had a family room and stayed 3 nights. It was very clean and comfortable and was self contained so we could cook meals. The supermarket was handy - just across the road. The room was great for a family of four with plenty of room and two tv's. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much...

Perfectly clean and tidy place to hole up with the family when on a road trip. The parents get the bedroom and the kids get a single bed each in the lounge. Kitchen is basic, but has everything you need. Parking right out the front and very pleasant and helpful owners.

Great hosts, clean and tidy rooms; self contained units with cooking facilities. 32 Golfing team spent 2 days at this motel. We will definitely use this motel on our next trip to Waipukurau. We would recommend it for family or sporting groups. Gill and Ewan go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

There are two buildings, each with two King bedrooms with private baths. A living room/kitchen in the middle makes a nice place to hang out. Everything was spotlessly clean. The buildings are surrounded by a farm. Alpacas gazed at us each morning.

Reminder of what a traditional kiwi motel should be : plenty of space, good seating, decent bed, well equipped bathroom and kitchen....plus hospitality from owner who knows how to look after the property and their guests.....and at a decent price. Serviced daily to a high standard and help on hand whenever required. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. Good location...
