We came with 2 nights booked and soon extended this to 4, and would have stayed longer if possible. There are various bamboo or stone huts arranged around a small jetty in an area of mangroves. You can swim from the jetty at high tide, or simply grab a hammock and watch the sun rise/ set. One day we hired...

I loved my stay here - it was very quiet and relaxing. This is thanks in a large part to the location, in a small village far from the crowds of Au Nang. Also the company - over my 4-5 days I met interesting and like minded people. Days were very quiet - walking to near by beaches, hiring a...

We arrived in the morning with only one night booked and wished we could have stayed for a week. A beautiful, peaceful place at quite a distance from the town. A jetty for sun (or moon!)-bathing, hammocks, lovely wooden houses to sleep in, a very relaxed atmosphere (including an optional communal meal) and no noise at night other than the...

We really liked it here and I would recommend this place to a friend. The food was very good, the staff friendly and I found everything to be priced fairly. No beach but a dock in the mangroves and great beach recommendations. I will definitely come back here.

Bananas is a fantastic isolated getaway for those looking to get off the beaten path. About a 35 minute drive from Krabi's main pier by taxi. There is a great little pier overlooking the mangroves with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The kitchen provides a decent little menu with communal dinners every night. I was very impressed with...

There is no hot water, no pool, there is no beach- only a pier, and nothing to do around the hotel. There are also no locks on the doors, and a drunk man came into our bungalow at 1am and stumbled through our stuff. Not to mention the blood stains on our sheets. We had originally booked two nights here,...

The Bananas is a beautiful place to escape from the hustle and bustle and relax. Straight away we felt welcome from the staff and the owner Oli. He is brilliant, chatting away to everyone. He had organised a taxi for us to get to The Bananas, which was great as I don't think we'd have found it on the bus....

Secluded and secret beaches; swimming with bioluminescent plankton; kayak rental for exploring the deserted tropical islands and off the beaten track...what's not to love? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, so much so that we extended for another three nights. The food is probably the best we have had in Thailand, and the communal serving style really makes people interact...

We stayed here for one night on our way to the islands. Olli arranged an airport pick up for us for the 40 minute journey to Bananas. We'd booked into one of the bamboo huts but we were luckily upgraded to a concrete based hut with a fan and good mosquito net. The huts are all arranged alongside a path...

Stayed here for a week with my friend, in one of the smaller bungalows. It was the best experience ever! So authentic and in touch with nature. The staff was friendly and helpful to inform you about trips to go to and stuff to see. They have a big breakfast menu which is delicious and the dinner is so good....
