We visited on a brisk fall evening. The fried fish was wonderful, yet the buffet also offered roast beef and pork chops. The salad bar was very fresh, with Romaine lettuce, which I prefer over iceberg. They offered many selections on the salad bar. There were two varieties of soups also, and several desserts. If we had arrived earlier the... More

We did not know the lodge was there. We had been to the park many years ago before there was lodge. It was a delightful surprise to see the lodge. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The housekeeping staff worked over to clean a room for us. The desk clerk found us in the gift shop... More

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but this being my first stay at a Kentucky State Park I was really pleased! I spent a night when I was with the National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges group. I was in building 3, room 110. The grounds were very well kept. The room itself was spacious and... I was quite surprised by this stay. Spur of the moment decision & all worked out. Small number of rooms available. The food was good at both the dinner & breakfast buffet (only complaint - not hot, but pretty warm). Service was good in the restaurant & other employees were very friendly. We only did an overnight stay so we... More

Blue Licks Lodge is a quaint place in an out of the way area. We spent a couple of nights in the lodge. This park has some great scenery and some very interesting history. The rooms were bigger than the average hotel room and unlike some lodges they are brightly colored - not the dark wood interior. We like the... More

Very well maintained and staffed with friendly folk. This Kentucky State resort Park is close to Lexington, Cincinnati and Louisville. Yet it is out in the middle of some very rural environs. Clean rooms and a great buffet restaurant ( menu service available).

The food was good. But the service was the worst. Took 10 minutes to get acknowledged to get beverage order. Every customer was having trouble getting drinks, silverware, and food. Tables weren't being bussed or cleaned. If this was the first time here it would definitely be my last. The lodge grounds are looking run down too. Definitely poor management... More

My husband and myself stayed in one of the cottages. We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was very clean and cozy. We hiked all over the park and learned alot about this area and the history it holds. Thoroughly enjoyed the back deck overlooking the licking river..so peaceful!!

I'm not sure if the construction work being done on the hotel is on the interior as all work was being done outside the hotel. Their were large pipes suspended from the ceiling of my room with wires hanging out of walls in 2 locations. Nothing was said about this condition when I checked in and out. Our group visited... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Licks Battlefield State Park. The cabin was beautifully situated overlooking the river and nicely secluded. Very spacious, with spotlessly clean rooms and well-appointed bath and kitchen. The staff were extremely friendly. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because the restaurant buffet was not very appetizing (lots of starchy, greasy, bland... More
