A group of us made reservations to visit General Butler State Park. When I first heard we were going there, I was yikes, a state park! Wow, what an amazing find. The driveway up to the resort, resembles that of a country club. The lodge...More
My family stayed here while passing through the area. We had just left Lake Barkley State Park, one of our favorite places, on our way to Lake Erie. The cabins were fine and the area was nice, it just doesn't stack up to the Lake...More

If I could say only one thing about this place, I would say, "Don't stay here!" The lodge is old and desperately in need of a face lift. The rooms are sub-par. I got the feeling that my room had not had a good cleaning...More

There is no admission to the State Park. I am not sure what the rental rate for canoes etc is at this time. When I was there it was in the dead of winter. They also have a small but challenging golf course, A miniature golf course is in addition provided and there is some good hiking available. Lastly, I think the restaurant is one of the better ones in the State Park system. You can get online and either find the answer to your question or get a phone number for the park. I liked the place.
