Room itself and entire resort is in dire need of renovations. There wasn't a frig or microwave in the room, but Whitney from the front desk, brought us a mini frig to use during our stay. She was wonderful, BTW. The resort was close to the falls, which was nice.

There were places under construction at the falls, so some viewing was obstructed. Cabin was sort of 70s feel, but happy to have a fridge/kitchen. Weather was pleasant enough to hike. Timing was not right for us to see the moonbow.

The lobby is nice- roaring fireplace. The rooms were nice and clean. The back deck had gorgeous views. The lodge is old, and the hallways and stairs are very narrow, and our door seemed to stick. The foid in the restaurant was only average at best. It was very close to the falls

Our family has been coming here for years for one reason...enjoying the wood burning fireplaces. It’s been a few years since we’ve been here and there were a few surprises. Cabins have been updated some what, biggest surprise though is charge for wood to burn. $6 bundle of 6.

Are there small refrigerators in any of the lodge rooms?
Not sure, it was quite a while since we were there but they had a small kitchen set up so I think they actually did. We stayed in the cabins not the hotel itself.

Is there a swimming beach or a safe place people swim at? Is there a pool?
There is an outdoor swimming pool at the end of the street at the upper numbers of the Woodland cabins. It is closed at present. It is big and nice.

You can drive down to the falls. There is a parking lot very close and you will have to walk less than 100 feet to get to see the falls. We used a AAA discount.

DoRae, Not sure about the discounts, but you can check out more details on there site or call them direct. They're very helpful. Also, the Cumberland Falls, is in a separate area from the lodge. You can drive up, but you won't be able to see the falls unless you get out and walk. There are sidewalks to use, and it's not far. You can also hike there from the lodge, but it's quite a ways away. Hope this helps!
