Great location, very friendly staff. Outside swimming pool with hot water seemed very nice, but we had not brought swimming suits... Restaurant was just OK, not fantastic. Worst was the mattress in the room bed, very soft and unconfortable.

Nice area hotel, interesting arquitecture, with a few functional improvement opportunities. Some hotel infrastructures did not show the proper maintenance (gym equipment nicely positioned along a corridor, was not working properly), the pool area should be better cared (jet switches damaged, surrounding wood requiring care and glasses looking forward for a nice clean). As for “Safe & Clean” for Covid, they still have a long way to go. They should make people wear masks at least on the restaurant, as it is not mandatory there are still people don’t have it and that don’t respect a reasonable distancing. The breakfast should not be with a buffet line, it should be at the table by order. We definitely would like to return with the essential mentioned aspects sorted, mainly concerning health and safety!

The breakfast was poor. I expected more, it’s kind of basic, and it doesn’t have a lot of variety . It looks like, but is basically bread and pastry. If you want something without lactose such as almond milk or another kind of fruit and options to bread and pastry you won’t find it. Also it’s not very kind to have notes in the swimming pool saying you can’t have any kind of cream on, and also saying what kind of clothes you should wear to the swimming pool. But the room and bathroom were great . Both big with 4 windows and a lot of natural light. That’s the plus.

My family and I went here for a weekend (2 nights). The building is very nice and well decorated either inside and on the outside. The staff is also very friendly. We stayed at the bungalows which have a small kitchen and lots of space for 4 people. We had all meals at the restaurant which is good and not very expensive considering that there isn’t much choice nearby. To highlight: the hot water outside pool!!! What a exquisite treat. For the trekking / mountain bike practitioners, Longroiva is 500 meters away PR22 which is a trail that connects Longroiva to marialva and meda, leading you to see the medieval castles in these locations, through remote landscapes and path. I made half of the trail (20km) by mountain bike because a flat tire ruined my travel plan and, after passing marialva had to return to Longroiva by the road.

In the middle of nowhere, discovered by a brand new highway, near the Douro river and the beautiful terrace vinyards, we discovered the Longroiva thermae resort. A beautiful building, nice interior, and connected with the wellness-building by a contemporary architecture “bridge”. Well done! The wellness building ( not by the same architect) is a awful post modern gymnast box, with a symmetrical nonsens and waste of space. The staff is very friendly, the food ok, and the staff in the wellness is superbe. We’ll be back.
