Stopped here with my wife after driving interstates all day. Our observations:
- rapid check-in, if not overly friendly - clean room/bath - comfortable bed/pillow selection - powerful HVAC - good in-room coffee - plentiful local restaurants for dinner options - solid hot breakfast
Hotel is starting to show wear and tear, but with a value price we were happy with our stay.

The hotel is located in a safe area, there's a Longhorns and a Panera Bread within walking distance. The drive into downtown was very easy. We had a handicap room which was large and the bed was comfortable. I do have only 2 complaints. The bathroom room was large but you have no counter space and the towels and wash cloths were in the other room and you have no place to hang the up in the bathroom. That's my only complaints.

Packed in next to strip center and restaurants. No sidewalks be careful walking around. Room adequate needs good scrubbing. Dirty shower head, dirty next to air conditioner unit. Small TV. No room refresh or towels on second day. Breakfast is barely tolerable.
They were nice at night allowing large group to sit inside for social time, no where to sit outside really, one small bench. Easy access to freeway and close to bourbon trail.

This place is perfect for an overnight road trip stop. It’s just off the Interstate but far enough off to not be loud. There are three gas stations and numerous restaurants at its exit. The hotel itself shares a parking lot with a Panera Bread, which is next door to a Longhorn Steakhouse. Then across the small access road is a strip mall with a Beef O’Brady’s and a Japanese place. So that’s four restaurants within easy walking distance and there are a bunch more within a mile. The room itself was nice with a comfortable bed and nice sheets. Front desk clerk was helpful, when we came in with our takeout she got us utensils from the breakfast area. Snack shop was sparse but the free cookies were good.

Visited for two nights for business trip. First room they tried to put me in smelled so strongly of smoke I requested a different room. The front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating, but checked the original room first before they would move me. My second room was an accessible room, so it was laid out a bit differently, mainly in the bathroom, which smelled strongly of urine and was disgusting - like I wished I had shower shoes. The walls were all banged and patched up, and the room was not set up for convenience for someone in a wheelchair at all, other than having more space to move around. The place is loud at night.. I had to turn white noise on my phone to drown it out. Frankfort does not have a ton of options and this location was close to my business event. Still, if I had to come back, I’d rather stay farther out and commute in than stay here.

Incredibly outdated and worn out. Asked for a room close to door or elevator and was sentenced to the farthest room possible & as a disabled veteran that was not fun. Room door was wonky and did not seal, bathroom was 1970’s with a plunger the toliet gets backed up so often. Not even going to mention how hot it was, like the hotel did not have AC. Breakfast was inedible, sausage and bacon so over cooked it was burnt and disgusting, juice was warm, eggs were about the only thing worth feeding to the hogs.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn express while traveling. Our family needed rest. We booked the room for 6 individuals. There are two queen beds and a pull out sleeper sofa. Since we didn’t want to cram 3 people in each bed, we called to the front desk for linens and pillows. The front desk stated “I can get you blankets but there’s no pillows left” I said “you have no pillows in the whole hotel so my kids can put their heads on something to sleep?!” Front desk replied “correct” then hung up. I called customer care and left a message at cooperate. Then when checking out, I left a note that we didn’t want to be charged for the room or at least be given a credit as two people didn’t even sleep. Rachel the manager called about 6 hours after check in. She explained to us that “my front desk must have been misinformed, there’s pillows here” so then I asked for compensation for the room for the inconvenience. She stated “you booked at the lowest possible rate so I will not compensate you”. I told her that it’s not my fault for what I paid for the room but that it’s her fault as a manager that I had an awful experience and that she should provide hospitality and not hostility because that is what she does for a living. She then stated that “there should be enough pillows on the queen bed to share”. I asked her who she reports to as I wanted to file a complaint and she replied “NO ONE”. So I asked if she owned the hotel or if someone else does so I can file a complaint and she HUNG UP ON ME. The building was also unclean. •mold growing in bathroom •stains on sheets •dust accumulation •air conditioning is obnoxiously loud and doesn’t cool room •whole place REEKED of wet carpet/mold/moisture

Very nice hotel. Rooms were comfortable, well decorated, and clean. The linens were soft and spotless. The rooms had refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers. The breakfast was well laid put and delicious, with something for everyone. The pool was nice and clean, the kids enjoyed it. The location was easy to get to and find, with plenty of parking. This hotel is perfect for traveling families or those traveling for work.

Upon arrival, we walked into our room and it was quite stuffy. I turned the a/c which helped a lot, no biggie. I went into the bathroom and there was hair in the sink. The sink had not been wiped off, I could see where cups had set from the previous customers. I looked at the bathtub and it was dirty as well. I went to put my phone on the bedside table and someone had spilled what looked like soda on the phone and table. I cleaned all the areas except for the bathtub with a washcloth and water. The areas cleaned up with little effort. Breakfast was very limited and the fruit bowl was empty and dirty. This has been by far the second worst experience at an IHG hotel and extremely disappointing.

I have stayed at many a hotel but i must say this one is something else. I am actually typing this review from inside the hotel at this very moment. Im gonna start off with this terrible bed. Now i have always heard that Holiday Inns bed where fantastic but i have been here for a couple days now and i am about to start sleeping on the floor. It has given me terrible back pain and i cannot get any sleep so all plans i had today are for sure not gonna go as planned. Its not like i would be able to sleep anyways though seeing as the whole entire hotels smells like marijuana. I have already called front desk and made a complaint but they just say its kids and act like there is nothing they can do. I am not against weed but almost everyone can admit the stuff smells so bad .The smell is so terrible I pretty much have to drown the room in febreeze which as you know does not lost long. The breakfast is terrible... granted during these times i dont expected it too be too good. I have no choice but to stay here because this is a business trip and this is the room my company has booked. But i will guarantee that me or anyone else from my company will not stay here again. Very disappointed. Oh and dont even try to sleep when its time for room service to make there rounds. They are all SO LOUD! Banging the carts into walls and slamming doors. I think i would have been better off if i slept in my car.

Our phone line was damaged as is expected to be back up by Friday October 21st. I am very sorry no one has been able to reach us but all phone lines need a new software reboot.
