Hotel's Favourite
Stayed one night with my husband and pup.
From reserving a room until we checked out, our experience was excellent.
Our pet friendly room was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.
The hotel was quiet and the breakfast area was clean, spacious and there were plenty of breakfast options. Overall, a perfect stay, we would return again and would recommend.

This was our second visit to this location. We returned to it based upon our positive experiences the first time around. While some of our favorite staff members have moved on (we miss Alice!), we saw a few familiar faces like Kaylee at the front desk who was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was also very friendly and willing to provide fresh linens and other items as requested during a days-long stay. The breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn layout, although at times a few of the standard items seemed to be out of stock. They are very strict about their breakfast hours - those doors close promptly at 10am so if you are making at run to BT for the morning allocation, make sure you get back in time to eat! Several days we lost out on breakfast because we returned 5 minutes after they closed. The only issue we had was the first night, which we had not experienced the first visit, and involved noise from someone in the room next door. Probably because several rooms have adjoining door options the walls are not quite as thick, but we had to endure a very loud person next door to us the first night to the point we asked about moving until we found out that person was checking out the next day so we took a chance the room would remain empty (and luckily our gamble paid off!) This hotel is very convenient to Buffalo Trace and within a reasonable driving distance to several other distilleries. A great place to serve as the base station while you tour the area!

This was our second stay here. Room was comfortable, although the air loudly cut off and on all night (walking me up each time). The bathroom looked newly redone and was very nice. There’s an automatic nightlight in the bathroom which is a feature I love (no blinding light in the middle of the night). The carpets (room and hallway) are quite dingy—smells clean but doesn’t feel/look clean. Breakfast was good, although I wish there was a second waffle maker (nothing like waiting behind a family all making waffles one at a time). Tea selection was poor with mostly regular black tea (Lipton). They did bring out a handful of other packets during breakfast and I got my favorite Earl Grey but discovered it was decaf. 😥

We weren’t too impressed with this hotel. We are used to staying at the Holiday Inn Express with their bright colors comfortable beds , friendly staff and great Hot breakfast with plenty of seating but they were booked for this trip so we thought we would try the Hampton . At first glance the parking lot was dirty, small and the building and entrance were not too inviting. Our room was not ready past check in time and the staff was rude. The decor is very dark . (Mostly brown colors) the carpets are brown and well used and the elevators were dark and smelled bad . Our room was not bad minus the bathroom but thw cable tv box was not working and the bed was very stiff and not comfortable to sleep on . Rhe bathroom was very dated and in need of renovation . As far as the breakfast , well it’s not bad really but doesn’t nearly compare to HIE. The seating was out in the middle of the lobby and got crowded quick. I giess we were expecing a lot more out of a Hilton property. We stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in Gatlinburg and it was really bad. Probably will not book at a Hilton property again.. Sad..
Additional note. This property is easy to get into from the main road but not easy to get back out as you can’t just turn out on the main road once in the parking lot

We stayed at this property April 15, 2022 and were basically satisfied. This is an older facility and suitable for an overnight stop while traveling. The breakfast had more options than other Hampton Inns which was nice. As we were checking out, however, I noticed the staff person attending the breakfast area bringing over a pitcher of tea to refill the canisters. She stopped and went to the desk for a set of keys, then opened a conference room door for some guests. She returned the keys and proceeded to fill the canister and resume her duties in the breakfast area. She never changed her gloves. Why bother wearing them? For all of the notices, both at the property and online, about sanitizing protocols, this was very telling. I mentioned it to the front desk but nothing was said to the attendant.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn during our visit to the Bourbon Trail. We decided to go with the Hampton because Hilton is a proven name, and we wanted a consistent quality of service. That is not what we received at this used up old crappy property. The rooms were musty and smelled of cigarette smoke, the carpet was circa 1991, how long is the decor and room amenities. to add insult to injury, the room weight was $250 for a Hilton honors member. In hindsight, I should’ve stayed at a Marriott property. I mentioned this to the front desk clerk as myself and two other couples were checking out early for the hotel, but her backhanded comment was something like we are hopeful for a remodel soon, which did not is our dissatisfaction take my advice, skip this property you can do better

We stayed here several days while in town enjoying the bourbon trail. Our positive experience started with the front desk staff. Specifically, Kaylee and Alice are the BEST! They are both willing to go above and beyond, and truly know what the words "customer service" mean, which is rare these days. Not only did they make us feel welcome and valued as HHonors Diamond members, but they were constantly willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs. The room is standard but was clean and well maintained, with a fridge inside for convenience. Only negative was the ice machine on our floor (4th) which had small black flakes in the ice. Easily solved by going down to the 3rd floor, but something that should be maintained. The lady who operates the breakfast seemed to genuinely care about providing a good experience and took small steps to go above the standard continental breakfast (like flavored waffles including blueberry and strawberry, which we hadn't seen at Hampton Inn before). Parking for Diamond is limited, so a few more spaces would be nice as they were frequently occupied. Housekeeping was friendly and willingly went to find us replacement towels after we'd been there a few days but weren't asking for service of our room. The people who work at this location are what make it special - and the location is convenient to several restaurants (both fast food and sit down). It is also very close to Buffalo Trace (5 minute drive) and centrally located near many other distilleries if that happens to be the purpose of your visit. I would definitely stay here again when in town.

We stayed two nights here at the Hampton, knowing that it was undergoing renovation. Our room was on the fourth floor, and it had been completely redone, except for paintings and extra mirrors. The bathroom was really nice, especially the shower. The only improvement I could find was the faucet on the sink - there wasn’t room to install it behind the faucet because they added a shelf by the mirror so it was to the back right corner. That’s a good location, except the faucet was too short, so water kept spilling onto the counter when you washed your hands, etc. Suggest that they replace with longer faucets. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided information about the area and answered our questions. The breakfast was good, we had a different selection on the second morning. Overall, our stay was aligned with what we expect from a Hampton. We definitely recommend staying here, especially when the renovations are all done.

I have been a Hilton Honors member for many years, and have stayed in many Hamptons. They are easy to find when we travel, and it’s been very rare that I’ve given a poor review. But Hampton and Hiltons have gone pet friendly, which has ruined it. I’ve had employees tell me that it is tearing up the rooms, and that it is ruining stays for many. The Hilton chains are not setting aside a wing, a floor, or even a few rooms as off limits to pets. During our stay in Frankfort, the sofa was covered in short white dog hair, which covered my husband‘s dark slacks. The desk did nothing about it, and couldn’t even offer a lint brush. Pets are special, but many people have allergies, and most people don’t care for hearing dogs barking or leaving messes and dander in the rooms. Last I checked, pets don’t book or pay for rooms. Offer boarding of pets on site, but please keep them in a limited area.

The Hampton Inn in Frankfort was very convenient to I-64, and cheaper than nearby hotels in Lexington. Our room was very quiet and comfortable with traditional décor. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants (we had a good meal at Longhorn just across the street). Breakfast was slightly awkward as you had to ask for each item, even a spoon, but clearly the hotel was using COVID-safe measures. We would definitely stay here again on a future road trip.

Good morning,
Thank you so much for the question. We have a total of 4 floors. All of which are above ground level. The first floor has sleeping rooms along with our public areas. Look forward in having you stay with us.
Yes, call the hotel. My best recollection is that they do not.
I don't have pets either, but that kind of info should be on line or answered with a quick phone call.
No, this property is not pet friendly
