Called for my wife to join me and informed her that the restaurant was closing in a half hour. We got to the restaurant and waited for 5 minutes...

The Lakes area of Kentucky has many scenic spots to enjoy. I wasn't so sure about finding a nice place to stay right on the lake . Kenlake Lodge was a pleasant surprise! A midcentury building overlooking the lake was appealing. The nice surprise inside was that the rooms were redone! Nicely painted, clean, good beds, nice bedding and a...

We stayed overnight on our way to Illinois. Made our reservation the night before and it was a quick easy check-in. The resort in the fall is a quiet place to stay, there are no activities and not too many people on the property. Our room was clean, towels were white and soft. We went to Cindy's Barge for breakfast...

We stayed at another Kentucky state park resort so we decided to try this one. It was basically comfortable but the rooms were just that basic. Considering it is a fishing resort I was surprised there was not a refrigerator in the room. For a nights stay it was fine but any extended stay would have been a little more...

Yesterday I made an online reservation for a cottage at Kenlake. In a matter of seconds my email confirmation came in. My husband and I packed our suitcase and with confirmation in hand drove the 101 miles from our home to Kenlake State Park. Upon arriving we were informed that Kenlake had "overbooked" and even though we had a confirmation...

We had an excellent stay at the Kenlake State Park cottages - The cottage that we rented was very clean, had everything we needed and a nice space and was really comfortable. The cottage we stayed in was exceptionally clean, nice furniture and comfy beds. I found the kitchen to be well stocked with utensils, pots and pans and really...
