This Victorian Bed And Breakfast is just amazing! From the huge home (20,000 square feet!) to the contents are just unbelieveable! Rudy, the innkeeper and owner, is a wonderful man who gives you free rein of the home to explore at your delight! The breakfast is scrumptious and he is a trup joy to visit with! Rooms are amazing and...

My friend and I stayed here in order to visit the homes on the Holiday Home tour. This place is more beautiful than most of the homes on the tour. We had a relaxing stay in the General Lawton suite. Breakfast was decadent both mornings, and the bourbon sauce on the marinated fruit is truly delicious. Rudy and crew are...

We stayed here recently while doing the Bourbon Tour and really enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff were friendly, talkative, and helpful. Our room (the presidents room) was nice and big. The house is decorated nicely and has some really interesting pieces. Our breakfast was really good, and featured bourbon sauces in some dishes- a perfect pairing for our...

I'm so glad we happened upon this mansion in the heart of Old Louisville. It has been kept as close to original as possible. The furnishings, window dressings and entire decor are of the period. Breakfast was fabulous as was the host, Rudy, and his assistant Jason. Maggie, the little dog was a sweet and friendly greeter as we came...

We stayed at the Samuel Culbertson with our 4 yr old recently . This B&B was very nice and spacious. It is located about mid way between the waterfront and the university. The breakfasts were well prepared and very tasty. They paid particular attention to our little girls tastebuds. The artifacts within the hotel are all antiques, it is well...

In our first visit to Louisville, my wife booked us into this charming historic B&B. As we both appreciate history and art, this lovingly restored mansion exceeded all of our expectations. It's a grand dame of an established neighborhood, and to walk through the front door is to step back into the rich history of the area. Since our trip...

We visited Louisville for our anniversary and had a terrible situation happen to us where our reservation at a DIFFERENT B&B was given away due to miscommunication between owner and Inn Sitter! Rudy, at the Samuel Culbertson came to our rescue! We were able to get a gorgeous room in this breathtaking mansion and received the royal treatment! We received...

Interesting and comfortable house with a good location and price. Built in 1897 with 20,000 square feet and eleven original bathrooms. Rudy, the innkeeper, Maggie, the dog, and Jason, all-around assistant extraordinaire, were the perfect hosts. We will stay again. Rudy and Jason helped us decide to dine at La Coop--an excellent restaurant. The personal caring about their guests' overall...

Staying at the Samuel Culbertson Mansion provides a glimpse of another era...one replete with opulence, charm, and character. The mansion is full of antiques that rival many museums. It was a joy to wander and look at all the artwork. The rooms were gorgeous! One can easily imagine the easy way of life of the late 1800's though with the...
