Rich in history. The inn keeper, Helen, was very knowledgeable and helped us find the things we needed. For people who have never stayed in a B&B before this was a great experience. Breakfast was delicious. Started with juice and fresh fruit. Then we had an egg sausage casserole. We walked around the area that night and felt perfectly comfortable.... More

This is a beautiful B&B. Great bedrooms, beautiful living rooms, snacks. I chose the establishment because it had breakfast. However, the owners have 2 places and sometimes serve breakfast at one place only. This happened to me on my visit. The host told me that I would be hearing from someone about where breakfast would be located. And if I... More

Of course we wanted this guest to come to breakfast and we thought that we fully communicated, but clearly we did not. We are very sorry for the mixup. We have now instituted a new policy, in those infrequent cases where a guest is invited to have breakfast at our sister inn, We take the guest to the front porch... More

This was the perfect place for our family reunion the weekend we celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. We booked all seven rooms for three nights and loved Our host, Helga, was gracious and hospitable and treated us royally. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, and there were many other spots for relaxation and for enjoying each other's company. The... More

Glad to return on our second visit to Louisville. Great, convenient location in the "Old Louisville Historic District" with free parking and good restaurants within walking distance. Also comparable & across the street is it's sister property the Inn at the Park which we stayed at on our third visit passing thru in the other direction. Warm, friendly, caring Innkeepers.

The DuPont Mansion is beautiful beyond belief...lovingly restored to its late 1800's elegance, exquisitely furnished with wonderful antique furniture, porcelain, silver, crystal chandeliers and art. Herb Warren, one of the owners, greeted us and gave us a very welcoming tour - inviting us to help ourselves to coffee, wine, pastries and snacks. The Innkeeper, Bekah, is a real treasure. She... We stayed 2 nights in the The Thomas Edison room. Beautifully decorated with a large bathroom with jacuzzi bath. A slight problem with having too much light at night as there is a window above the door which, although has a curtain, let in a lot of light. Breakfast was good but there was no choice. You had what was... More

Thanks for the review and recommendation. I didn't know the hall light would ever be a bother because of the curtain over the window/transom. We will fix that right now by always turning that ceiling hall light off at night. There is sufficient dim lighting in the hall to assure safe passage anytime. More

Stayed for two nights as we visited Louisville en route to Bourbon Country. The mansion was very well kept and Herb, the owner, greeted us and cooked us breakfast both days. The size of the room and the amenities are top-notch. The breakfast was very good, but nothing spectacular as far as B and Bs go. We were one of... More

In Louisville to see "Phantom." Super B&B in a unique location of lovingly restored Victorian homes. Wonderful recommendation for dining - even made the reservation for us - and brought breakfast to us since one is handicapped. Well-stocked kitchenette on same floor.

We stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved our time at the Dupont Mansion. Herb made a range of tasty breakfasts and was a joy to talk with about local lore and the recent passing of Muhammad Ali. We've stayed in a number of Kentucky B&Bs and the Dupont Mansion is one of the best! Enjoy!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The DuPont Mansion B&B is an historic treasure with modern amenities. The tall ceilings, ornate fireplaces and carved woodwork look and feel like the circa 1889 Victorian Mansion that it is. Yet the high speed free WiFi throughout the Mansion, flat screen TVs in all guest rooms and Jacuzzi tubs in every bath (two are double) provide luxury beyond anything imagined over a century ago. ... more   less
