We had a blast at the DuPont mansion- it's like stepping into downtown abbey to sleep. Genny, the innkeeper, makes you feel right at home and also makes sure everything... From cabs to breakfast to snacks for your day trips are all perfect

We enjoyed a wonderful few days staying at the DuPont Mansion in Old Louisville. The house is beautifully decorated! Rooms were well appointed, with good sized bathrooms. Breakfasts were all yummy and we really did feel like we were staying in the home of a dear friend. Kudos to the owners and manager of this lovely home!!

I really enjoyed my stay; it was like sleeping at home. I travel to Louisville regularly and going forward will always stay at the Dupont. Ms. Ginny was great and took the time to tell me a little about the place before taking me to my room. The owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the property. Looking forward...

It was our first visit to Louisville and first B&B experience. When we return we will again stay at the Dupont Mansion. They have set the standard on which any other B&B's will be measured. The Edison suite with it's 2nd floor location and en suite private bath was wonderful. Ginny, wine, bourbon (it is Kentucky after all), inviting garden,...

Nestled in the heart of Old Louisville, the DuPont mansion sparkles. The house itself is beautiful and easily accessible from downtown. The hospitality of Herb, the owner, and Genny, the innkeeper, is outstanding. They make you feel so welcome that you think you're staying with old friends. Breakfast and all the amenities were amazing. One of our best bed and...

We had a wonderful two night stay in July 2014. A welcome break from a busy road trip. The Dupont Mansion B&B was amazing. We enjoyed the welcoming touches throughout the inn including cookies, snacks, beverages, wine, etc. We found two great restaurants within 1-2 blocks on UrbanSpoon.

As soon as we set foot in the back kitchen door, we stepped back in time to 19th century Louisville. Ginny was warm and welcoming. The DuPont room was spacious and luxuriously appointed. Imagine chocolate in every room, your own caraffe of wine, and the local burbon in the parlor! Whether you choose to relax on the back porch surrounded...

Great old home with spacious bedrooms, well-located, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Much better than chain hotels, even those of 5 star variety. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

My SO and I recently enjoyed a three day stay in the Dupont Room at this beautifully restored mansion on 4th St in Louisville. Genny was our gracious and accommodating hostess who made sure we always had enough of her delicious breakfasts in the morning. The room we stayed in was spacious, with 12 foot ceilings and a very large...

My husband and I stayed for a quick get away for his birthday. As we were greeted with the biggest smiling face, Genny who proceeded to show us around this beautiful mansion. I have to say she made this home over the top, not only is she very personable and the sweetest, at the end of the trip we felt...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The DuPont Mansion B&B is an historic treasure with modern amenities. The tall ceilings, ornate fireplaces and carved woodwork look and feel like the circa 1889 Victorian Mansion that it is. Yet the high speed free WiFi throughout the Mansion, flat screen TVs in all guest rooms and Jacuzzi tubs in every bath (two are double) provide luxury beyond anything imagined over a century ago. ... more   less
