Our first time to Louisville, we wanted to stay in a historical hotel. The Brown did not disappoint! Old world elegance included a cheerful decor, plus decorated for Christmas. Nicely done. Very tasteful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, clean and pleasant. The bed was just right and a great night sleep was had. The bathroom was spacious, however the...

My family stayed at The Brown for a chess tournament. Despite scrolling through some traveler pictures ahead of time, you must actually see the lobby for yourself to maximize the pleasure in your experience! It is almost as if walking around inside is totally different than glimpsing at pictures...anyway, one word: SPECTACULAR! It certainly looks like it was built in...

Great hotel. Number one thing important to me is a quiet hotel room and The Brown delivers. Had a corner room 1001 and it was quiet, spacious and had just about everything. Had a clubby old feel to the decor. Empty refrigerator, coffee and everything you need. Only thing lacking was an in room safe but they will keep your...

A magnificent hotel with outstanding servce and attention to detail. Very comfortable rooms with amenities. About 10 minutes from the Louisville Airport (SDF) and a brief cab ride to Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat factory and other attractions. A variety of on-site restaurants offer very tasty food. Do not miss The Brown, an open face turkey sandwich you will...

We reserved 4 rooms for a 40th birthday weekend and had fantastic service from beginning to end. The reservations were a breeze, check-in went smoothly (and very friendly), but the concierge/bell hop staff truly made all the difference. The even went so far as to call in a favor when our reserved shuttle to Keeneland was a no-show. The rooms...

We had a romantic getaway at the Brown hotel and enjoyed it very much. The lobby bar was wonderful. On our evening of arrival we were starving. I had the hot brown and it was everything I hoped it would be. Hubby had the steak sandwich with fries and he loved it. Our room was beautiful and we upgraded for...

People tend to forget about those in the service industry. We take their assistance for granted. For instance, bellman....when do we ever notice they open the door of our vehicle, the door to the hotel, lift our luggage, assist us with that luggage to and from our rooms. Thanks Greg the bellman for the simple things that we overlook sometimes...

My son and I stayed this weekend. To say we were pleased would be an understatement. It was fabulous! All employees were pleasant and smiling. It's the very best hotel experience I've had. I'd recommend it to anyone and I plan to return. Thank you all...from the bellmen to the maids to the management. All were friendly and professional.

I went to a wedding in Louisville, and the reception was held at the Brown Hotel. The ambience is gorgeous, and the staff was extremely friendly. After a terrific party in the ballroom, my wife and I enjoyed a comfortable stay in our hotel room. All in all, it was a great experience. We will definitely be staying there the...
