The port Huon cottages is the perfect place for a one night stay in port Huon. Located on the main road however the road isn't noisy and overly busy. Sass Restaurant up the road is a must. Cottages are cosy, comfort, clean and heated. Reasonably priced and staff are friendly and helpful.

Loved our 1 night here. Beautiful water view in front of our cottage. Clean, new cabins. Ours was 2 bedroom. Had the cot already setup and everything provided. Big enough for the 4 of us. Has a small decking area out front with a bbq, table and chairs. Would be lovely on a warm summer night. As with everywhere we...

We have stayed here several times and the cottages are always good value for money. They are in a great location and always immaculately clean. Although small they have everything you need for a short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will be back!

We had reservations through a booking agency in Tasmania and felt this should be a good place to stay. To our disappointment it was NOT. The unit was dirty, there were not adequate towels and no one was around for two days to help us. We tried to contact the number that was left for us to call but we...

The cottages are perched on a hill. Great views, but that is about it! Mountain goats would love this property. Too many stairs to negotiate, especially for older people. No one to greet us, just a scrap of paper with a map and key, then find your own way over numerous stair cases. I am 73 and fell .Too bad...

We stayed here three nights and the first night was truly horrific. It was terribly hot and there was no air conditioning. The small tin-roofed cottages are on the main highway and large trucks barreled through all night making sleep all but impossible. We were very upset. The next evening when we tried to use the barbecue, we discovered it...

Seen from the road, the units that make up the Port Huon Cottages look striking: painted blue and white, with Glen Murkett-inspired curved roofline and walls in wave-like colourbond galvanised iron or other material. The cottages occupy a steeply sloping block, and there are fine stands of bright red roses in the garden. it's a good introduction. Unfortunately, it isn't...

Great little units, fairly new, very clean. Only negatives are that the only places to eat are down the road a bit, ok if you have a car, not so good on a motorbike. There can be a bit of road noise as the units are on the main road through Port Huon, more so in the morning. Units have...

After a slight miss booking by 'what if', things were rectified be owner. Cottage was fine, if a little cosy, 4 in a 1 bed unit. View was great, service friendly and unit well maintained. Recommended but don't book thru 'What If'. Easy access to Tahune Air Walk.

Amazing location, quiet and peaceful by the river, occasional noisy traffic on the road at night but not too disturbing. 2 bedroom cottage was well equipped for a self-catered stay. Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating - even helped with the luggage.
