Quiet location several blocks from the highway. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was tight but manageable. Suggestion to this and other motels that are not serving breakfast: Quit advertising that you serve breakfast on your website.

We were passing through on way to final destination. Needed two beds for the night and no frills needed. Room was in good shape. Appeared remodeled. We stayed here over another inexpensive place due to better reviews. Smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag, but we took it off and figured it was related to remodel and may not have been used for a while. Works for the night if you are passing through.

Room was very clean and a good value. Sleep quality was so-so for 2 reasons: plastic mattress liners and thin walls.

This was one stop on a two week bicycle tour chosen as convenient for our back road entry into Shelbyville. We arrived a 2 pm to be told by desk clerk check in time was 3pm with no exception. We ask to park our bikes in lobby while we went nearby to eat. The clerk insisted they stay in drive. It was like talking to a robot. No cars were in lot so I doubt availibilty was a issue. Once in room there were very few outlets to charge our multiple devices and half those did not work. No breakfast with a sign it was due to Covid. No other motel we have stayed in for a year has had this issue. We paid in the mid range of all motels for our rooms. Our group has pretty low standards and this motel fell well below. Maybe all motels in the town are the same but if I'm ever that way again I'll choose another. We stayed in several Choice hotels during our tour that were excellent. This was not one of them.

The room and bathroom were not very great. Bathroom had old tiles on the ceiling, cobwebs in the corners, stains and the bedroom had bugs crawling around on the floor.

I parked in the truck spot as my wife and I were moving cross country - I asked if I could use the outlet on the building, which was padlocked. They charged me $20 to use the outlet for 4 hours, then unplugged my freezer when the time was up in the middle of the night.

They will look for any reason to charge you extra money. Beware of staying here.

Diamond Rewards member here... Travel on business year round, and attempted to use my rewards points here for a free night. Front desk clerk rudely informed me that reward nights require a $500 deposit, which is clearly a violation of Choice Hotels franchise agreement. I have filed a formal complaint with Choice Hotels corporate headquarters.

Stains and hair in bedding, large blood smear on bathroom wall. Neighboring room had bed bugs. Asked for a refund after looking at the room. They did refund the full amount. Seriously need to review their cleaning practices.

I would give a zero star if I could. Room was disgusting. Asked for a refund so I could go stay somewhere else and they only gave me half my money back. I was fine losing $40 to go stay somewhere else. But disappointed that they wouldn’t give me a full refund. Do not stay here unless you’re fine staying somewhere nasty. Especially during a pandemic

I stayed there for 1 night after I read the reviews and I was so dissappointed. I left and went to another hotel. The rooms are very outdated, filthy, and my room had bugs in the bathroom and in the carpet. And when I tried to ask for service and a refund, they said they could not help me. I had planned on staying their a week, but I am staying accross the street at the Best Western.

I will never stay a Country Hearth again.

When I returned home I had a message on my phone from the manager accusing me of smoking in the room. When I told him we did not smoke in the room he as much as called me a liar. I cannot be in a room with smoke, I use a breathing machine at night. Needless to say, this phone call upset me all day. And the manager also hung up on me. I will never go there again. Also their rugs were dirty. When you walked in the room in your white socks they turned black on the bottom.
